| I was thinking of buying Octy 1.8 TSI sport some time in the future but it seems this Sport trim will not be available! Can anyone confirm this? I just checked the new Skoda website and this trim is not even listed. Is this the end for Sport then? ![]() |

| The current brochure has the TSI Sport listed BUT - the brochure is only current until the end of this month. TBH the sport has never sold too well, people usually opt for the vRS if they want a sporty Octavia, it's a pity as the new 1.8 turbo makes the sport a better proposition

| Im looking at the 1.8TFSI. From my perspective the better option rather than the sport is the Elegance with The Sports Suspension and 17" wheels. At least you get Cruise and Dual Zone as standard. Also the 1.8 TFSI L&K offers excellent value in my opinion. |

| I thought the Sport model was going to be dropped long ago. The vRS is not much more money wise. Wish the vRS was out when I bought mine I should have waited a little longer. |

As has been said; if you want a mildly tweaked Octy buy the Ambient or Elegance and add Sport suspension OR go for the vRS, its still a discreet car. Mind you; I do like the 5 spoke Pegasus wheels used on the 'Sport'.

| I might just do that! Do you know of anyone with a set going spare? ![]() I like them for the clean lines of the 5 spokes - they're easy to clean.

| Absolutely! The 9 spoke Sputnik wheels are a total ******* to clean, the Pegasus wheels were so much easier to keep clean. How are the B14's in that department?

| I ended up going for the 1.8TFSI with sports supsension for the value for money reason. I couldnt justify the extra $7k for the vRS, plus the extra insurance, fuel, tyres etc.. Over here there is no Sport option, just the ELgance model optioned with the suspension. Elegance seems to include most things you pay extra for over in the UK. (guess to make it simple for new dealers) Think its a good option and can always be massaged down the track for a few more herbs as funds appear. ![]()

| Hm, yet another reason to buy a set ![]() Should look quite nice on a black L&K

| The spec on the Sport wasn't great, I suspect that most people just put the sport suspension on an Elegance, or bought a VRS.

| I think it was probably a bit of a 'fill in' model to the range whilst Skoda got the vRS fully on stream (vRS Diesel has only now just been out for one year). It served its need and with 'model line-up rationalisation' has now got the chop. ![]() RIP: Sport
