| Did it on the MK1 as well I think someone on here had a kind of fix for it .....but if you lift the hatch a little bit first to let the rain run off and then open it it helps

| Seriously. Its such a large hatch that I dont think it can be avoided. You could try a silocone blade to wipe most if it away before you open it. "Idea No 1 of 1" |

| yes it bloody does and its starting to pee me off !!!!!!!! It soaks the cd changer, and anything inside, especially if its windy ....... I tried opening the hatch a little, and getting the worst of it to run off , but to be honest, if its raining, I dont wanna be standing there like a lemon waiting for excess water to run off before opening the boot !!!!!!!!!!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh !!!!!!!! |

Depending on what I am carrying and where I am going I will keep some of the items I need on the back seats of the car when it's raining so I don't have to open the hatch at all. This isn't always suitable but you could try placing some of the items toward the back of the hatch and get at them through the rear seats - either by folding them down or through the centre arm rest access hole. | |

| lots of other cars do it too - I leave a "Flunkey" artificial chamois leather handy, and one quick sweep over the glass with that minimises the problem |

| Yeah, and it is annoying as hell. Rear speakers had better be of a waterproof type. EDIT: Hang on this is the new Octavia? You are joking aren't you, please please tell me they fixed that one somehow.

| Yes it does it on new octavia, had a mk1 estate so never had the prob but new about it. Remember reading on here just afer launch of mk2 that the problem had not been resolved, but still went a nd bought swmbo a vRS hatch instead of an estate, then recalled the thread the first time she opened the boot and flooded the place. , told her to carry a silicone blade in future.
