| Heretic's ![]() It's not pointless when you have no rotator cuff left in yer left shoulder and it's like a meccano set holding it all together ![]() It's a good system, "when" you get used to it. |

| LOL No mate, It had crossed my mind though (more than crossed my mind but figures were not what I would have liked) So I am committed to keeping the slug for a little while, Deb's has the Panda 100HP now so I spend time hooning around town in that.I will probably be asking you for an intro to your man who can, with a view to a vRS in early 09. If I can get the cash together or work goes well next year, I really do fancy a Caterham or a Westie as a short blast weekend thing though I am wandering wayyyy OT now, sorry |

| I was quite tempted by the Octy vRS CR with DSG till I read that atm there's no paddleshift Is it likely to get this at some point?

| Yes,the paddles will be available in summer '09 with the facelift, I heard somewhere...................but I think a golf or A3 wheel could be retro-fitted with paddles. Maybe when one hits the streets someone like Vrstu could confirm this !! |

| Paddle shift to follow around September time not 2009. Also I read somewhere and can't now for the life of me find where that the TFSi vRS was also going to get the DSG gearbox with paddleshift. Deliveries of vRS DSG will be around end of June/July and they are on the new CR 170bhp TDi engine. I now have 3 on order for stock. ![]() |

| Heartily disagree. Electronic brain is faster than mine. Never misses a gear change and does not stall. Far better in the traffic jams that increasingly feature. A stick shift is pointless. Just macho. BTW: delighted to hear of DSG vRS, despite Skoda telling me last year that they would not do one. Does this mean we might get a 4WD DSG as well?
