My Climatronic is not operating correctly. When delivered it blasted hot air at the screen and cold air to the footwells. The hot air to the screen has been fixed but it still is sending both hot and cold air to the footwells. I can't get a decent stream of cold air from the facia vents. I ran an SLX TDI for four and half years, the climatroinc was brilliant. This leads me to beleive that the new system is faulty. I am waiting to meet a Skoda rep to try and resolve things. Have other owners got problems with their systems? Last edited by fredw; 10-11-2004 at 12:59.

I had similar problems with my climatic air con. The main problems being sticking flap motors / not set correctly flaps. Nearly three years on and the rear facing vents were still blowing hot air while the front vents were giving correctly set cold air. I have now got the Ambiente model that does not have those complicated controls that go wrong.

I have had massive problems with the dual zone climatronic on my 2.0FSI Elegance. It is now in for the 10th time and has had a regass, new compressor, new control panel, motorised flaps and fresh air bower. Everytime they seem to find a fault but it never fixes the problem. When the temperature gets hotter, the compressor doesn't seem to blow any cold air into the cabin. Any ideas what else can be done.

Not had a problem in terms of temp of air but my only problem was that there was air coming out of the top vents even when i had selected only the front ones which as a result used to fog up the windscreen......one trip to the service station and they fixed it......not had a problem since ![]()

I'm not sure that Climatronic is meant to deliver different air stream temperatures to different parts. (Apart from setting the passenger side to a different overall temperature if wanted.) I think mine is working okay but when it is on fully automatic, with a set temperature which the driver has chosen as "comfortable", it just seems to try to warm everywhere to the same temperature. I prefer mine set on "lo" (more or less old fashioned Aircon) or else use the two separate footwell/face level control buttons, when I want distinctly different temperature zones.

Update: after one year, the dealer have fixed it. It was a chaffed wire. This apparently throws up the same error code as a faulty control panel. Probably worth people knowing so they don't shell out £300 ish
