| My Scout seems to crash over speed humps, really sending serious shocks through the car as I come of the speed bump at anything other than a snails pace, from the front suspension. I am sure it is not meant to be like this, but I thought I would just see if anyone else has experienced it before I go and get it booked in for some warranty work. |

| 4000 miles. Good point, although there is suspension complience, it is only when I am coming off speed bumps that it is bad. Worth checking though, I'll have a look in the morning, thanks. |

| That was going to be my suggestion. It happened to me a few years ago on a new Audi I had. I drove something like 1600 miles (I can't remember but it was a fair few!). I mentioned to the dealer twice before on the third time they realised they had left the suspension blocks in.

| Do the blocks totally immobilise the suspension or do they just limit the travel and act like really long bump stops? If the latter it would explain why it isn't so obvious they are left in.

| Every day is a school day at Briskoda ![]() So there will be enough travel for everyday driving but god help you when it comes to speed bumps and pot holes.

| One of our sales guys drove a demo sport for around 4k with the chocks still in. God knows how many people didn't buy one due to the harsh ride..lol.

| I find my Scout quite firmly sprung and only marginally more compliant than the Passat Sport that it replaced. How are you doing for tyre wear. At 6k miles my fronts have used a fair bit of tread... |

| Can't seem to see a lot of tyre wear, but I will keep an eye on it as they do not look too cheap! Oh, and I do not have suspension chocks in the springs so I will pop it into the local garage & see what they say. My headlights are way too high as well - poor PDI, should have sorted that. |

| I thought my headlights were too high as well. Took the car to the dealer who checked on the MOT tester and found them to be ok. It will be interesting to see what the dealer says about yours. |

| That's it - glad it isn't just mine. Booked in for Thursday for that, the headlamps and I have a rear seat bolster come away from the seat, so I'll let you know the outcome. |

| Yep, sorry for not reporting back sooner. No prizes however for guessing that there was no fault reported with the suspension. They are a bit harsh - odd that road reports never mention it, even when they take them off road. |

| My Octy MK1 4x4 used to bang and rattle like an old prostitutes bed over anything remotely rough. My mkII is much, much quieter. Could yours be an iffy steering rack if not a susp. problem. I know what your dealer says but if they can miss suspension chocks ............. |
