Default Is this good or bad ???

I like to put my foot down, and give it some beans on a frequet basis... I just do some decent run's...

It would appear that I have one of the most economical TFSI VRS's in the EU

Overview: Skoda - Octavia

Is this something I should be proud of or something I should hang my head in shame with ????

Based on current fuel prices I think I know which !!!

Used to be the same here... but a change in job and a relocation now means I do frequent runs that deliver 37mpg+ (i.e. 200+ mile motorway runs or 50+mile on single carriage A roads where 60 mph is as good as it gets..)

Haven't done the maths but I have a feeling that if I had a TDI I'd only be a few £'s better off....

A good country lane thrash however see's a return of less then 15 mpg indicated

I think the best I've ever seen on a run is about 34 mpg. Average is around 31 on a run, mid to high 20's on a commute.

The pedal on the right, press it more!

Ah missed that!

I'd say you're averaging around 10mpg more than me (but I'd bet it's more eventful )

My new Car has now 400 miles. I noticed the first 100 miles on a 40 mile round trip i do was 27mpg. With 400 miles it did with the same driving 33. Tonight i did a 20 mile round trip and i got 27 mpg that was with a bit of spirited driving.
Will my mpg improve as i only have 400 miles or is that a myth?

I'm almost exactly the same. I can get up to 40mpg on single carriageway 60mph roads but only if no one holds me up.

I haven't seen much of a difference in mpg from new.

Some *&^% finally hit my Octy with their door this weekend. Not a big dent but I'm still p155ed off.

when i first got the car, it being my first petrol and previously having 4 diesels, i kept hitting the limiter in 1st and 2nd reguarly not being used to having to change gears while overtaking,

i.e. going to overtake, drop it in second, hit 60 and realise OH S**T! - the car aint going any faster, with my foot burried and theres something coming the otherway, oh never mind, change gear cant have done the car anygood at all

never had to change gear to overtake and if i did, i didnt have to change back up the ease and flexibility of a good diesel (57 plate mazda 6 2.0 143ps)

With the fuel crisis that's soon goin' to happen up here in sunny Scotland I'll not need to worry about mpg's as I'll have to, God forbid, walk or worse run...
My obituary may be posted soon!
