Is there anyone out there that can help me? I'm New T Skoda and being a bloke using an instruction manual would be far too easy. I have a 1.9 TDI Elegance Estate - 07 Plate My instrument panel clock keeps resetting, the internal computer does not hold info so I only get current journey info, and if I leave my headlights on by mistake there is no warning sound. The dealer has replaced the 'Dash Panel' today but problems persist. Is there an easy solution out there?

It sounds like there is an issue with the power feed to the instrument panel. I would imagine that there should be a continuous power source to the instrument panel to allow all the information be retained and clock maintained while the ignition is off. Similar to the radio which can be turned on even if there is no key in the ignition.

Hi, I would say that the fault was probably intermittently on the panel when you bought the car, and as a quick fix some previous owner has removed fuse 15 to at least give some operational use back to the speedometer, fuel gauge, rev counter, temp. gauge. With the new panel fitted by the dealer, the fault should no longer be there, and so inserting a fuse in 15 position (5amp on Mk1) but yours could be 10amp rated, should restore normal operation. If not there is a history of the problem that can be found by typing in the word instrument, into the search panel at the top of the forum page. I hope that is helping you, and that all will now be fine. Soviet ![]() Last edited by soviet; 26-04-2008 at 12:14. Reason: sp
