| Just had a new screen - due to de lamination. Engine vibrating, so it's probably gonna need a new DMF soon. The turbo is developing an ever louder whistle, so I'm resigning myself to that going eventually..... No problem, its still under warranty, but when these bits go are the replacement parts modified or improved or exactly as went on at production ? I fully understand how an external supplier can produce a bad batch, but are there inherent design faults here. I intended to keep this car for several years but if these bits keep failing I won't dare keep it once the warranty runs out. 2007 Octacvia 1.9 tdi

| Hi Sounds like you've got all the "common" faults in one. Might it be worth an extended warranty for peace of mind after it runs out - although only exactly what you need. For me the decision will be based on how long I want to keep it, if only a year I'll get a warranty, if 5 years I won't, since if I have to replace an expensive part I'll not get the benefit of it if only keeping for a year. On the whole I think they are a reliable brand, and under warranty doesn't seem an issue to get things sorted either. Hope you get it all sorted
