| Hi all not been on for ages. Got loads of help from you all choosing a new company car. Went for the new octy elegance after 5 months my company has now said got to have a vectra. Went to the Vauxhall dealer to have a look no helpful sales people no brochures just a theres one over ther mate if you want to have a look. Great I thought what service before you have even brought the car what the heck are after sales. Like left unimpressed. Went back to the Skoda dealer over the road greeted by nice friendly sales man even remembered me after 5 months !!! Had another look round the octy so much better. Am now in the process of trying to convince my boss how much better not only the car is but also the staff. Wish me luck. Sorry to go on but to have to deal with staff at Vauxhall agggh !!! |

| Vaux give huge fleet discounts, and i am told some nice perks to the fleet manager such as a 'free' upgrade on his car to top spec with all the options. Dont suppose you have a new fleet manager or policy which means he doesn't get the car he wants any more do you?

There really is no good reason to have a traditional company car if it's being used mainly for business. It's more expensive for your company and, more importantly, it's more expensive for you.

| I had a succession of Cavaliers and loved them all. Bought one Vectra an will never have one again. Went from that to an Ocky Mk1, ran if for 4.5 years and nearly 80,000 miles. Traded it in for an Occky 2 in Sept 2004. The Ocky 2 is the best car I have ever owned. I hope that you can convince your fleet manager. Do you have the option of a car allowance instead? If so go for it. |

| No its just a perk that sits in the car park. Car Allowance not on offer. Use it a lot at weekends for personal stuff. Only way Iwill have a new car. Not sure why he has chosen Vauxhall perhaps because we use there vans. Service departments are awful perhaps its just here in Maidstone Kent |

| people slag off Vauxhalls on here a lot. Personally I wouldnt have a problem with having another - have you considered the Astra ? Also, its not your car - so why are you bothered about the service ? ![]() |

It's me that has to drive the car, and sit around in service receptions on the receiving end of good or bad service.
