Hi All, I have just fitted a genuine Skoda towbar and 13 pin electrics to my new Octavia but am concerned about the final part of the wiring. I have a couple of questions, if anyone could help i would appreciate it. 1)when i connect up the electrics to the fuse and controll unit, the dealer told be i might not have any brake lights. has any one hhear of this as i do not have access to the VAG-com at home!. 2) Is the coding for the electrics/rear parking sensors an easy job as the garrage have said that it will take about 1 hour to code and wan't to charge a fortune. Many thanks for the help Owens

Hi Stu, Thanks i had already downloaded a copy and made some notes for my hatch. It was the dealer's comment about the brake lights that got me worried, i am going to sort out the wires tonight and get the unit coded in the morning. Owens

Hi, Thanks for all the help Got charged £42.00 for the coding, but it's all done now. The only thing i have noticed that there is no audible or visible confirmation of the indicators working, the dealer says that all the Skoda towbar wiring kits do not have audible confirmation. Has the rules changed in the last few years?. I use Winchester motor Co as they are easier than Freebourne to get to. Owens

AFAIK When the trailer/caravan etc is connected, the bulb light on the dash lights up any of the lights fail to work - therefore no indication on the dash means everything in OK
