Default oe sunshades

Hi folks
Got the shades today they are well made and come with clips instructions and a nylon back to store them when not in the car .
They fit straight on with no problems the only thing was the rear window clips were a little fiddely but a call to the guys at oe soon put me right very helpfull.
I found out that the rear screens fit in and are held in place without the clips if u slip them behind the upper brake light and rear wiper cowling.
Here are some pics

I think it looks ok and cheaper than tints
Regards Whoosh

Does this help - I already had some pictures taken for a friend of mine, after I had the same OESunshades fitted. Sorry for quality but taken with camera phone !

Not really - you notice it at first but I've never had a problem with it. You soon get used to it and IMO won't impede anymore than a sticker on your back window would.

I questioned OE about the twin back shades and they have to do it like that to keep them taught otherwise over time the material would sag.

bought a set of these for the octy last week and am very impressed. Thanks to those who posted pics on here as well. - they really do look like tints and have the added attracttion that they're easily removed if required and do a great job of keeping the sun of our little one.

Cost for the hatch was 120 quid delivered and the service from OE sunshades was excellend too. Recommended.

Looks good!

I've the Skoda side ones, and have been trying to get the genuine rear roller blind, but it has now been discontinued. Does anyone know if Skoda are going to do one like this for the rear window of the hatch, (as they do one for the estate that clips in like this, but is in one piece)?

If not I'll be getting an order in!!

The complete set of shades normally retails at £159.95

However we have a 20% discount offer in place which actually ends tomorrow.

Therefore the shades can still be purchased for £127.96 + delivery making them £135.46 in total.

You can order over the phone calling 01623 428882 between 8am and 5pm Monday – Friday paying by credit or debit card.

The complete set of shades consists of 6 individual shades.

That is 2 shades for the rear passenger windows, 2 shades for the load area windows and 2 shades which fit side by side to give full window coverage of the tailgate.

The set also includes fixing clips, installation instruction and a storage bag.
My only concern is the visibility when changing lanes on the motorway and checking the blind-spot?

I've done a fair few motorway and autobahn miles with mine on and didn't have any problems.

I also queried this with them direct

Quote:
Good Morning Mr. Ward

Obviously the darkened effect of the shade isn’t as clear to see out of as when the shade is not there.

However this is no worse than when having any other kind of shade or window tint in place.

Privacy Shades is our brand name, O E Sunshades are the ‘parent’ company if you like. O E Sunshades manufacture this product for OEM’s all around Europe. Our biggest customers being General Motors Europe and Honda Europe.

All I can tell you is that the parts have been tested and approved by the relevant engineers at these companies who have integrated them into part of their accessory range. Concerns such as yours are things that these engineers have to take into consideration before approving these parts.

I trust this may offer some comfort in making your decision as to whether these would be of use to you.
I have ordered a full set of the 6 shades and will post before / after when the arrive

NOTE: The 20% discount ends today

It might be worth giving OESunshades a call they may do one for the hatch - doubt it will be a Roller Blind type though

The Rear one supplied by OESunshades for the Estate comes in two pieces not one as this reduces the chance that it will sag in the middle.

I'm interested in getting a set, anyone else? I was pondering contacting them to see if we could get a discount for a group buy of say 10 or more.

I've asked OE about what they'd do, and I'm not sure of the policies here so there's that to sort out.

I'll get into it more next week.

I mailed and asked OE and they'd not offer any more discount in a group buy than what they've offered in their most recent offer. They have offered to extend the old offer to members of this forum for another two weeks.
