Unhappy problems starting intermittent

hi everyone...

ok had an octavia 2.0 TDi for a little under a year now, it has developed a problem where as when i reverse onto my drive which has a slight slope some times she's a bit reluctant to start up the next morning... she will turn over ok so not the battery, but unless i dab the throttle she wont fire. I have taken it to the dealer who just looks at me dumb and says we can't find anything on the tests they have had the car overnight and it doesn't do it it starts first time. If i park the car nose onto the drive so it is pointing nose down hill it will start first time everytime, or at least i have tried it for a month and it was ok.

Now i hear you say park it nose down then well the problem is what happnes if i have no choice so i would like it fixing, car is less than 12 months old. thegarage want me to wait for it to fail completely, which may never happen.

To me it feels as though it can't get fuel ... not sure if the pressing of the accelorators runs a fuel pump or something, but it looks like neither do the mechanics.

the guy at the garage didn't like it when i asked him if would be happy if it was his car... i'm getting no joy from the garage so am stuck as to what to do next. So any suggestions as to what it could be or next steps.

Sounds like the fuel pump might be acting up. I think I've read about similar problems before and changing the fuel pump was the fix.
The fuel pump works automatically when you unlock the car through remote and open the drivers door. You should hear it whirring as it pressurises the fuel lines.
