| Hi I recently brought a TDI sport used and its an excellent car. However the previous owner had a witter towbar fitted. I am never gonna tow anything so I want to remove it. Can I do this without removing the bumper I have had a look and I think if I can just unfix the bottom black fixings I may be able to get a spanner in to loosen the bolts of the ball from the bar then I was thinking about just using cable ties to put the electrics behind the bumper. Anyone know if this can be done or I need to dismantle the rear of the car? Cheers Rich |

| Attach a heavy chain to a large tree or other immovable object, attach other end of chain to the desired component for removal (towbar). Engage 1st, dump clutch and scream off, ensure there is enough slack in the chain to achieve at least 70 mph before going taut............... ![]()
