Seat belt warning chimes

This is a discussion on Seat belt warning chimes within the Octavia II forums, part of the Skoda Model Discussion Area category; I think the chime is speed related, I wouldn't expect it to come on reversing onto your drive....

Went to Meadens Skoda yesterday and asked them to switch off the chimes for me as they know iam a taxi driver. The guy said they were too busy today but gave me an old buckle from a seat belt to put into stalk until i come back for a service. he was thinking what i was going to do and iam happy now that the noise has gone.

Taxi drivers are only exempt when they have a fare, just as police officers are when transporting prisoners.

It is annoying as I always start the car as I am putting on my seatbelt. Its a feature I would glady get disabled on our car.

Hackney carriage drivers are totally exempt from wearing in there licensing district where as Private Hire drivers are only exempt when passengers are on board and must wear belts when empty regardless of which district they are in.

its clipped to the underneath of the seat a plug with 2 wires going to it, slide the drivers seat back and look to the far corner towards the seat belt catch, not the big plug by right hand side as thats for the airbag!

Did same on mine, the plug is out now and all silent. No warnings, no faults, no problems at all.
Golden silence

Lift up the seat all the way and look from the front. You can't miss it. Wires are yellow/blue
