Default Trip counter not resetting

A couple of faults have suddenly occurred with our octy II 1.9 elegance. It seem that you are unable to:

1) switch the milage readout from 'trip' to 'total' - it is stuck on 'trip'.

2) Zero the trip counter.

3) The radio refused to give any sound for three days. It then suddently started working again, and has been allright ever since.

Any ideas?

Is it MaxiDot you're talking about?

The car is not fitted with maxi-dot. It would seem that the 'trip' reset button is permanently stuck in, as every time you restart the car after more than 2 hours the trip counter is reset to zero.
It goes for repair under warranty in a couple of weeks.
