Default Variable Boot Floor Query

Had this ordered as an extra on my saloon and came late (dealer probably forgot).

Should the flat part of the floor clip into the side pieces at all - there are clips fitted to the side pieces but nothing on the floor itself. The clips are at the near end of the part of the floor which is furthest from you when stood at the boot.

Off to France tomorrow so won't have chance to go in to a dealer to look for a couple of weeks.

If I've understood your question correctl, then yes - on my Estate the floor clips into the sides.

On the estate (probably the same on the hatch) there are two turn buckles in the flat floor that drop into 'ears' projecting inwards on the vertical side pieces (hope that makes sense!) The vertical side pieces are retained in place by extensions to the cargo net anchor points.
