The 1.9 TDi will have FSIII type brakes wont it??

Means you have to swap the hubs and bearings over to get a bigger disc on there.

If thats the case then I may have to go for some better brakes pads......had a nasty experience of virtually no braking last night ......and didn't like it that much........pedal on the floor and even the abs didn't work

That was the problem....it didn't get anywhere close to locking a wheel and I was pressing as hard as I could..........had about the same effect as throwing a blanket out the boot with a rope on.

Pretty certain the brakes are fading VERY quickly so a new set of "better" pads may be the answer

Just added to my post above...But brake fade is a good guess ........so without spending £100s on a brakes upgrade any pointers on a reasonable set of brake pads for now.
TIA

Just had a thought and went and checked the pad thickness ......loads left on them so I may have to have a search around for a supplier ...(we don't have a decent tuner/supply shop) around here.

Thanks Ross

whats the upgrade route for vRS brakes then? think im going to try some better pads first but i can get the standard pads to fade far to easily, which isn't nice when your flying towards a corner and the only thing slowing you down is engine braking
