| Hi Guys, My dads Vrs idle speed is up and down while the car is at a stand still. Skoda assist sent a patrolman out and he hooked up the laptop through the on board diagnostic port. Two errors came back as follows 1. PO171 16555 Injector bank 1 fuel system too lean. 2. PO100 Mass or volume air flow circuit malfunction. there are no warning lights on at all, and the car still pulls like a freight train :-) So l'm throwing myself yet again on your vast knowledge of Vrs Octavia's. Any solutions would be most welcome, thanks again guys. Andy Last edited by andrew-sankus; 24-06-2008 at 01:05. |

| I'd think maybe the MAF has caused the P0171 or maybe one of the Lambda sensors is playing up.

| The Yanks with their MK5 Golfs seem to have problems with rough idling - it could be the PCV system. Let your car idle, if you remove the PCV breather pipe then block it off then if it stops being rough then thats the cause.

| According to Skoda there is an air leak in one of the hoses somewhere in the engine, they would like the car back in for a full day to try and determine the exact location of the hose that has the leak in it. will keep you guys posted. Thanks Andy |

| Hi Guys, Well Skoda had the car for a full day on Friday, turns out a new pressure valve is needed (keeps the fuel delivery pressurised) apparently. The Skoda tech was talking to my dad when he brought the car out the workshop. The part has been ordered we will be phoned once it's arrived and the silver beast can go back in once more. Hopefully this will cure the problem. Thanks Andy |

| Hi Guys, The part that was ordered (which was on back order has now arrived) It is something to with the manifold, sketchy information supplied by service desk guy. Hopefully will be idling as sweet as a nut when the beast is on Friday. |
