Angry vrs suspension advice

I've had my octy 2 vrs now for a month and love it but it is now bottoming out when driven hard( it's only got 7k on the clock). I bought it from a dealership with lowered Eibachs on and what seems to be standard shocks (Sachs EZD 1K0 513 029 GP). I'm waiting to hear back from them on what they or I can do to sort this out. I see a lot of owners have upgraded to FSD's but my question is why do they sell just lowered springs which obviously don't work with the std shocks? I love the lowered look (even though speed bumps are a pain) so realistically don't want to go back to std height!
Plus if I go down the FSD route who is the best place to go for fitting and wheel alignment? Also what would it do to warranties etc?
Any advice would be most appreciated.

I've had Eibachs on various Vauxhalls - bottoming was common.

My last Astra had 30mm Eibachs on standard shocks, then upgraded to a 55/40 Wietec kit with sport shocks, and not only were the Weitecs less likely to bottom out, but was also more comfortable.

Ive had Eibachs on most of my cars and I have to say that I dont think that the Octy VRS ones seem as well developed in terms of damper matching. They can be rather fidgety and at high speed, any bump can be fairly unsettling.

However, I love the looks and matching to FSD dampers does sort the problem out.

When you hit a dip in the road it feels like the whole car hits rather than a specific side or front or rear. Mind you when driving hard your not really thinking about that more about staying on the road! It's even worse with four people and luggage obviously less damper travel. It feels like your riding on bump stops permanently? This is unacceptable for a fast car and is ticking me off.

Oooo, I wouldnt say mine were like that!

Ive been four up with luggage and no bottoming out as such.

I wonder if the kit includes shorter bumpstops and yours havent been fitted? Just a thought.

I asked skoda uk if changing the suspension bits you have mentioned would alter the warranty they said it would only affect the parts that were changed they wouldnt cover them but it wouldnt affect any other part of the car,

What, the bumpstops?!

If ther need changing then they should be in the kit. If they are in the kit, the kit will be warranted.

I got the springs done pre PDI by the dealer so the warranty is 100% intact on all parts concerned.

After I had the Eibach and FSDs fitted I shortened the bumpstops by about 30mm, to match the drop in ride height. But I am sure FSDs will sort your problems out.

Thanks I think FSD's are the way to go!
What about the best place to get them done?

nearest place for you is likely to be www.jabbasport.co.uk but it isn't too bad a trip to go to :: JKM Motor Services Ltd | JKM Performance | VAG Specialists | Telephone +44 (023) 9263 9933 | in Portsmouth (I had mine done there).

Certainly the FSDs will provide a increase in firmness over the OEM shocks when the going gets tough AND you will get the benefit of a more supple ride (less fidgety) over broken tarmac etc.

Cheers for the info. Also just seen in the local rag and wondered if anyone had used TTS Roadsport? TTS Roadsport They are primarily Audi specialists.

I've no prior knowledge or experience of them but they seem to supply all the right kit and are local - give them a call?
