Default VAG 170PD TDI engines

Hi All

I have noticed a couple of postings regarding the new 170pd TDI unit.

We have now tuned plenty of these with great results, mainly in the Seat Leons and Audi A3's

Power acheived is +28bhp and +76NM of torque. This power is delivered throughout the rev range, and is 100% safe with the DPF.

Any questions, please let me know

Is this obtained by full ECU Remap, or a tuning box device?

Also is the modification detectable by Manufacturer Software Scanners?
Or if it is a Tuning Box, is its use before disconnection detectable after removal?

Hi There

This is a proper full engine re-map. I would never put a tuning box on my own vehicle, as they simply increases fuelling.

The re-map is a full flash tune, so no parts are changed or altered. The mapping is the same as all other re-maps with regards to dealer detection. They wont find it unless they set out looking for it.

With all warranties etc etc, the dealer must proove that the re-map was the cause of any warranty claim, otherwise they must honor the warranty

Hi There

Economy will improve. 3+ mpg on average can be expected. (After the testing of the new power has stopped of course)

Thanks, there doesn't seem to be any pricing information on your site (it doesn't actually mention the 170PD engine at all in the Skoda section). What's the cost of this remap?

Thanks,
Dave.

Hello Dave

Apologies, the website needs some updating.

The 170PD models are £325 all in to re-map and gain approx 28bhp and +75NM of torque
