Default Not a Happy Bunny...Intermittent Revo!! :o(

I have has my car Revo'd at sports tech recently and the performance is very good...when it works!

Best start from the beginning..

When I took the car to be remapped I had put ron 95 in it not realising the remap would need ron98.... I which point I was told that the map would reach it full potential and that I needed to come back once i'd removed the cheaper stuff from the tank.

I returned a week later to get it re-adjusted, which was done with the use of a laptop and me driving the car. I was told that I would take about a tank full for the ECU to adjust properly and for the map to take effect.

It didn't, so I took it back last sat. 10 seconds into the road test the tech said it wasnt right, so we spun the car round and took it back to the workshop. Where he wipped the map and re-installed it. Result....pretty damn good!

Only thing is, after refueling (with vpower, the same as was in it when it was reflashed) the power disappeared again

Any ideas folks?

The only thing that I know that 'turns off' REVO is the battery being removed for a period of time. It's a longshot but check your connections are tight.

Have you got an SPS yet - If so use it confirm the settings.

When you say he was changing things while you were driving, do you know what he was doing? Was he just logging with VAG-COM? AFAIK there isn't really a need to change anything whilst driving but he should have had a look at a few things such as Correction Factor, N75 Duty & MAF.

I'll move this to the REVO forum and maybe they'll chime in.

Is the power disapearing whilst you're driving? It sounds as though the car is going into limp mode; if there are no faults occuring then it could be due to a split DV. VAG are on the 8th version of the DV unless I'm mistaken and we're seeing this problem much more regularly now.
