Car: Race Blue Octavia (Approximately 200bhp) | Re: reflash If you are already REVO'd then I'd think its either FOC or a labour charge by the dealer isn't it?
The £399+ is a new flash surely.

| Re: reflash It's not going to be the software causing the car to be slower, either you've a problem with a component (most likely MAF) or the car has been unhappy with the conditions/use and the ECU adaptation values are very low. I'd reset the adaptation and check the MAF values.
We've had a couple of owners that used to drop in with similar issues, there were no problems with the software or their cars... it turned out they did a weekly top speed run down the M40 and spent far to much time the wrong side of 150mph... cars got hot and the ECU pulls back!

| Re: reflash The ECU will adapt after a reset/reflash/etc. However adaptation is part of the ECUs safety features, if something starts to work out of tolerance it will pull the requested values back/alter correctional factors to compensate. This is what's happening when cars feel like they're loosing power over time.
It wasn't PD130's doing over 150mph, that was just an example!

| Re: reflash It would depend on the ECU ID, but it's unlikely. Most updates are done to suit newer factory versions or to support newer flashing protocol. Our tuning on the 1.8t hasn't changed in the last couple of years. | |
