CD Changer

There is a CD changer in several of the Skoda website photos but no mention of it in any of the UK brochures. My local dealer can't find anything either. I've tried emailing Skoda via the website but no reply yet after 10 days.

Has anyone got one?

I know there is MP3 capability, but I had a Cd changer on my Peugeot 806 and I've really missed it on my current Renault Scenic. I'd at least like to know the cost...

Ask the dealer, it was the same getting cruise fitted to my Scout

Cd changers are so 1990's. Roomster has a Aux in and you can get the Ipod lead for it.

Re: CD Changer

I second the MP3 thing. £50 gets a decent size MP3, with several hundred tracks on it. We travelled Spain for 5 weeks & listened to nothing else. I don't think we heard the same song twice!

Re: CD Changer

I always make monthly new CD with downloaded MP3s. 1 CD = more than 120 MP3s.

No more cables around...

Yep - I've just done that, and the track title on the display is quite useful. It's fine when it's only me in the car; with the family on board for holidays, I suspect that there'll be a queue of iPods to connect up!

What programme do you use to burn MP3s to disc? I used itunes and this doesn't give the title names so I presume it uses a different file format?

On the MP3 player vs. cd changer debate, I have an iPod which is very useful and fine for podcasts but I don't think the sound quality is as good as playing an original cd, so it depends how fussy you are!

I use iTunes on my Mac to convert from AAC (or whatever) to MP3 format. I then put all the MP3s in a playlist, I then select them all and drag them to the open folder for a CD-R in the drive, and the files are all named with their title tracks automatically. Just hit 'burn' in the CD-R window.

hth,

Stuart

I'm using Nero Burning ROM 6!
