Roomster Scout 1.9Tdi, July 2007, 7.5k miles High clutch action.. Anyone else noticed this on their car? Can be a nuisance in stop/start traffic. Had a word with my dealer's mechanic about it & he said they were all like that - something to do with the hydraulic clutch fitted to Roomsters, which can't be adjusted. He then took it for a test drive & passed it off as normal. Only had the car a week, after trading in my Fabia Vrs, so I'm comparing the clutch action with what I was used to - low, smooth and easy to drive.

Not noticed that either. My car appears to have had the wrong clutch pedal fitted but still feels normal. Are you sure you are not confusing it with a very light action? As a clutch wears the action gets more heavy to press down, as this happens gradually we tend not to notice it untill we have it replaced or drive a different or newer car.

The difference in bite point between the Roomster courtesy car I had and my Fabia was really noticeable when I got back in my own car - I was kangarooing all over the place for the first few miles!!! I'm guessing they're all like that by the looks of others' posts...???

Thanks for the comments. Looks like I'll have to clock up some miles and get used to the different clutch 'action'. Wish it could be adjusted though..
