Question Roomster-rear wheel misaligned

Had a minor bump at B&Q car park in Manchester.
Yesterday noted steering difficulty, and on investigation, saw thgat the nearside rear wheel is mis-aligned by about 1cm. Does anyone know how a nothing bump can cause this? Is it adjustable? I had planned to get the minor body damage repaired w/out insurance claim, but wonder now if that will be wise. Mike

I think the only tool that can set the rear alignment on the Fabia platform is a breaker bar, if you get my drift... Unless anyone else knows otherwise, I think it'll be an insurance job because if the rear axle's bent, who knows what else has been damaged???

Sorry to hear it mate - sounds like the rear axle is bent.
Best fix is a complete replacement. It's not adjustable.
Shims can adjust minor degrees of being out - very fiddly and not as predictable as you'd like>

Not to contradict the majorities suspicions... But let's try to think positively. Following the weakest link theory, maybe you only need a stub axle or wheel bearing housing. What trim-line do you have, are you running alloys or could've you bent a steel rim?
