Default 135 Rapid - overrunning

I have a Skoda Rapid (135 RIC converted to carburettor), i'm finding that the engine keeps overrunning after a decent run, though it does not appear to be overheating. Certainly the temperature gauge does not suggest this, and appears to be working fine. I rather need to get this sorted as, following someone destroying my Seat while parker, I need the Skoda for work... Any ideas?

Over-running? Do you mean it's running on after you switch the ignition off?

3 lift clutch and stall engine

The 136 range has (or should have) an anti-run on valve fitted on the carb which cuts the fuel when the ignition is switched off. There should be a metal contact tab on the 136 carb which needs wiring onto the switched ignition. That will solve it.

Yeah Ian, that's exactly the sort of thing I was thinking of, was issues with an existing anti run-on valve, or the need to fit one if there wasn't one.
