Caps

According to my diagrams in Haynes manual

56b - 2/5 - black
56a - 1/1 - Yellow
30 - 2/4 - black
56 2/3 - a blue wire and a yellow wire (yellow is for rear foglight switch).

Those connectors are for the high/low beam and flash.

The other connector should have...

1/3 - black wire for horn
1/5 - Yellow wire for left hand signal one wire leading to dashboard, one to the lights themselves
2/2 - Green wire for right hand signal, again wire for dash and lights themselves
49a - 2/1 Yellow - this is the wire the switch connects the left or right wires to for the signal. It leads to the "Z" connector on the flasher relay attatched behind the coin tray.

If after checking the wiring you're still having problems, it is pretty easy to open up the switch to see if the connectors mate properly when in the "indicating" position. It's just the two screws at the front. It is possible this switch is broken. It is also possible something is wrong with the flasher relay, but this would affect the hazards too.
