Has anyone ever fitted an ARB to a Favorit? I was gleefully chucking mine around this afternoon on some suitably deserted B-roads and reflecting that a little extra stability at the front would be no bad thing. Is there an easy way of doing it? (e.g. ARB from another Skoda model that fits on relatively easily.) And while I'm asking, has anyone tried a strut brace on a Fav? Worth the expense and bother? Thanks in advance to anyone who replies!

There are a few people who have used the Felicia strut brace on the Favorit, and they seem to think it improves handling. Tried getting hold of one myself, and was kindly offered one but seems they decided against it. As for an ARB, I think I remember reading somewhere you need some bits from a Felicia or something. Probably the track control arm assembly or axle beam (I admit I don't have a clue where an ARB fits to). Suppose it would be easier but less fun to buy a Felicia with all these bits already on it ![]()

right, first of you'd need the wishbones (track rod controle arms) off a reinforced body felicia. not an uncommon swap as the felicia ones are stronger (but not that strong, cuz i just managed to mangle one). your problem is gunna be with the subframe. i'm not sure if the fav subframe ever had the slot an hole for the inner arb mountings. without getting under a fav and having a look i cant tell for sure. but i would think that evan if you had to fit the subframe of a felicia it would only take a good weekend to do the swop. i've got a spare standard felicia arb at the lock-up if your interested?

| IIRC there isnt any threaded fittings in the felly chassis ,where the inner arb mounts would fit

on felicia models with ARB's the inner mounts are a little slot about inch an a half long running left/right at the front. this is were the tab end of the mount fits in, and pivots. and about 2" behind that there is a threaded hole for what is in effect a pinch bolt. but i cant remember if the threaded bit is a nut welded on top of the subframe, or a tapped hole in the body?
