| Hi, I am currently writing a dissertation on the impact VW has had upon Skoda since their full take over in 2001. As owners of Skoda's I hope that you are the best people to talk to in getting research. I hope that I can take little bit of your time to answer as many of the following questions as possible: As possible owners of a Skoda before the take over were you happy with the influences VW introduced? Did the VW take over influence you to buy or continue owning a Skoda? Why was this, take into consideration brand, design, quality, price. What is it that makes you feel proud to be the owner of a Skoda and be part of this brand and why? After the experience of owning a Skoda would you consider buying a VW and why? Are there any issues that you would consider changing or altering about Skoda or the Skoda that you own? Has Skoda's motor racing heritage or recent Skoda Rallying played a part in your love of Skoda? Thank you! |

| Don't talk to the Felicia lot - they hate VW ![]() In answer to your questions: - N/A - Yes it did - same perceived qualities as VW, wrapped up in a smarter looking, cheaper package - Knowing that I've spent wisely - I would, but it would have to be something special (the Scirocco, perhaps) - They seem to be comfortable with their place in the VAG hirarchy, so no not really - Yes - the WRC Fabia's look awesome ![]() |

| N/A Well not really, i bought the car because i wantet the car. Because i drive a kinda rare car, and it has a special look. Yes i would, because of the quality, and their design. They should have their own special car, like VW has the EOS. Kinda, i like the idea of building my car to race specs, with race top and motor improvements. |

| 1. Well they already had the Favorit! Yes it has helped some with a greater choice of engines but since the Octy 11 (well 3) THey have been just another VW brand so recently VW are just wreckign what Skoda have. 2. Initially - I wanted a Passat, tried the Octy, looked at what I got for the money, drove it, LOVED IT and converted. 3. I took my Octy to a track day, someone let me have a go in their old rearengine car - and I wanted one. With the way that rapid drove why did we make jokes about them? - SO I bought one or two. 4. Nope - Might try a Seat, had an audi but wouldnt go back to VW or Audi. They are overpriced and you get the same in the Skoda (but thats at nearly the same price now!) 5. On the Octy - its a great car nope - wouldnt change it now (except more power and bigger brakes) but that change is not necessary! The Rapid is work in progress - just make it faster! 6. OH YES! --This my opinion - if you dont like it find your own!
