Right one evening, A trundle down the A7 to Gala, A snort across to the A68 via 'The Gatonside Road' (bring a change of undercrackers) And then a razz up the '68 stopping on Soutra for piccies 2.5-3hrs tops!

Borders sounds good, maybe St Marys Loch for a wee BBQ one saturday then ?
I took the wife and kids down to St Marys loch on Sunday, its a nice place to be and quite a nice road too (from Moffat). Have been working down there for a couple of weeks and its really quite nice. They do a nice panini in the Glen Cafe there too!.

Would make some nice pic opps too with the loch as a back drop.

Also , on Sunday 1st June the BVAC (Borders Vintage Automobile Club) are having their annual show at Thirlstane Castle , Lauder. Its a decent show which I have attended every year for well over 10 years now , it used to be held at Mellerstain House near Kelso. Theres going to be one of the James Bond DB5s out of Goldfinger there this year apparently. The website is here for anyone wanting further info Thirlestane Castle Rally-2008 , dont worry about the word 'vintage' , there are plenty of cars up to and including 80s stuff on show usually. This might be a good run out for you Edinburgh boys n girls?
