Car: Silver vRS (218 BHP + 349 lbs/ft) | Blackpool Early Summer Briskoda Meet - The Big One After the success of some of the more recent meets, how is this for a plan :-
Saturday 3rd June 2006.
Arrive early, or even Friday night, and stay in a cheap b+b.
Night out on Friday?
Parking opposite the pleasure beach avaliable, but must get there early. I will check parking prices.
Spend some time on the Pleasure beach, arcades etc.
Discounted, FRESH fish and chips for lunch 1pm ish (not compulsory, other lunch venues are avaliable)
After Lunch, go for a drive. I have some routes in mind. An ice cream emporium being en route, but if loads of cars come, maybe not, as parking a bit sparse, as they are always very busy in the summer.
Then onward, to either the Trough of Bowland, Beacon Fell, or maybe just a huge long blast around some top notch roads over towards Rivington. (Col G??)
Numbers dependant, maybe a venue for tea also.
Get adding your name -
1. Shifty Update -
If this proves to be as popular as it looks like it is going to be, I will need to organise it very well. Please help me out, and put next to your name if you would like Fish and Chips for lunch, and also if you would like a "brisk" drive on twisty B roads.
If we can all get parked where I would like us to, all of the cars will be clearly visible from the top of the Big One.... Colin D
To save moving the cars and clogging up the area surrounding my shop, I will bring some menu's, and order the food by telephone, and because I have such a big boot now I will collect the food, and bring it back to the car park, so we can all enjoy the sunshine. <fingers crossed>
Final Update -
Itinery.
Those coming Friday night who are staying over, please PM me for my mobile phone number so we can meet up when you get here.
Those arriving on Saturday morning - Please meet at South Beach Car Park, located on the promenade opposite the Pleasure Beach. http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.c...multimap.y=250
If you click on the link, Where it says South Shore at the end of Watson Rd, is where the car park is located.
Earlier the better as the car park fills up pretty quick, so say between 9 and 10?
I'll be stood about taking lunch orders from those who wish to take advantage of a 20% Discount from my chippy.
Short walk to Pleasure Beach.
Return to cars for 12.50 pm
Lunch will be delivered to the car park at 1pm.
After lunch - at around 130pm, those wishing to enjoy a drive, please see me for a direction sheet.
Drive is approx 100 miles, with an early "get out" at about 65 miles.
See you soon.

Yes, and put your name down on the list properly please.
Are you actually going to bring your car out into the big bad world at this meet? You know what happens when you keep arriving with me in mine

Sadly, like all meets from May til August, I can't confirm until about late next month. Never been to Blackpool so it would be nice
