| Sorry to throw a spanner in the works, but wouldn't it be better to go for early July when the kids are at school. Campsites should be a lot quieter and probably more receptive to larger groups. Just my thoughts ![]()

| Possibly, although I would have to hand the organisation over to someone else - I'm in hospital from 21st June to mid July. ![]() But if it suits others then it'd be better. I've been stupidly busy recently, but I'll start fishing for venues soon.

| I agree that it would be better while the kids are at school. If I can help organise this I dont mind. I do end up being out of my house for quite a while with the travelling , but as I am the one pushing this I will help all I can Sarah |

| I would be up for this but i think i'm going down to Torquay the 2nd weekend and i can never commit this early to any other weekends. The 1st weekend will probably be the best for me though. ![]()

| I think wev'e established that there is enough interest in a summer BBQ so who's gonna take this by the scruff of the neck and actually book up somewhere before it gets too late?.

| I'm looking, but it's not proving very easy to persuade campsite owners that we're going to behave on their site ![]()

| I'll give a hand soon, very busy at the moment with my HNC exams and a possible job change looming, but I'll try and find some time soon.

from post 19 on this thread Someone has all but said it .......but you will have a devils own job trying to persuade a camp/caravan site owner to let you have that much space for a weekend as it would stop their normal trade for two weeks (Saturday to Saturday) and they will loose a fortune !!! Best bet is a showground or field, but you will need toilets, waste disposal and a safe water supply....................and it does need to be nearly flat We are having just those problems trying to set up a BBQ and Camping around Marlborough........so good luck with the effort, we know how difficult it is ![]()
