Default Trax 2008 7th Sept 08 - Briskoda Clubstand

Well - I know it's a way off this year, but thought I'd get something underway. I hope to be able to organise the Briskoda stand at TRAX next September. Will work the same as it did in Sept this year - which I think went quite well. The date is 07/09/08 - a sunday.

Tickets SHOULD be £10 each (they were for trax 2007) - This is a clubstand price - normally you book individual tickets for £15 in advance, or £20 on the gate.

£10 gets you into Silverstone and on to the Briskoda clubstand. I hope for 2008 to have upwards of 50 skodas. It's a nice central location for a big briskoda day out. £10 is PER ticket, per person.

TRAX 2007 - This website has some info, but it's still not updated since trax 2007, so only gives an idea of what you can do. £30 gets you a 15 minute track session, but if 50 of us want to go on track, it costs £950 I think to book the whole session for the club (so about £20 each) 0-60 sprints are £7 each too.

We can only send one booking form, so I will be taking payments in advance, and sending off payment from myself all in one go. However, I won't bother with that until later in 2008.

Can we make it possibly the biggest Briskoda day of the year?

I will also try this year to get a bigger spot, and try to put more effort into "design"

Oh, and it's a long way off still, what about some club banners, etc. Still something lacking given how big this club is in reality. Just some of those flags on a bendy pole would be cool.

I'm not letting go of getting a Briskoda Gazebo, just got to pester Colin & John until they get fed up with me asking!

and so you should, the size and design this year was disgraceful
i think encouraging more briskodians onto the track would be a good thing, perhaps you could lead by example next year jason, you know no excuses

I'll be going on track next year, and doing some sprints. Time to see what difference the diff makes, and a bit more power too.

This list is non-commital, but when it comes down to it, the list will be VERY commital once I've had payment for the tickets Shall work it out on Excel again - my template I used for 2007 worked damn well.

Hmm I might be interested and depending on what car(s) I have at the time might do some track time.

Just got to find myself a nice 205 or 306

I can see this year is going to be huge.

Oh, and just so you all know. I'm likely to be charging an extra £5 for tickets, and using the extra to purchase Briskoda flags/banner/gazebo. Will be looking into designs and costs in early 2008. For now, assume there'll be other funding methods used, but this seems a good way to raise the money.

Sorry I have to say I think that should be an optional chip in fund or the freedom membership should be used to pay for it.

Would probably be enough to put me off coming to TRAX if the tickets were £5 extra for each person.

Oh, go on then

I would suggest a plan of the pitch in advance, then carve it up and organise the parking properly

So we don't have 'discussions' again over the advantages and disadvantages of straight vs. angled parking

This worked to fund the banner for my local car-club. Will see how that works. Fiver donation from the regular show goers would be enough for a couple of those bendy pole flags you see at shows.
