After a less than satifying purchasing experience (See review of Loders) I have settled on using Mid Cornwall Cars for the maintainence of my 2003 Fabia 1.4TDI. The garage is situated on an industrial estate in Roche near Bodmin and happens to be on the way to my Gran's house in Cornwall. The dealership is a very traditional Skoda franchise and occasionally you even see an Estelle or Rapid when visiting!!! They are always able to service my car on a Saturday morning and I can pay for the car in the afternoon even when the service department has closed. They always supply a loan car and are excellent value. I can't speak highly enough of them FANTASTIC!!!

They are a local family busness and VERY down to earth!!

Thanks to those before who took the time to provide feedback.

I can't comment on service yet but helpful, honest and competitive when buying.

In contrast sales at SMC Exeter completely uninterested and dishonest about pricing.

I had been less than satisfied with my previous dealer in Surrey, and so when I was on holiday in Cornwall decided to pop into Mid Cornwall Cars. Was offered a great deal which was under my target price and got myself a brand new Fabia vRS.

Very friendly and helpful staff indeed, I can't recommend them enough.

Read in the local paper today that they have been brought by Falmouth Garages - another Skoda dealer.
Been waiting for Mid-Cornwall Cars to fix a date to spray over some damage they did to my car. Looks like a phone call later to see what they have to say!!

Very slow in settling finance on your old car (4 to five months) so you get a lot of nasty calls from your ex finance company.....this has happened twice ....also if they say they will buy what is left of your tax disc insist on the money there and then ......because if you dont you will have return to pick it up.....they wont send it.

I believe the Roche garage will be closing and all trade moved to Falmouth

Bought my (new) Superb from there in September. After a couple of weeks I noticed that one bar of the rear screen demister wasn't working, so had it looked at while the 1,500 mile check was being done.

Apparently the edge of the screen had been scraped when the screen was fitted in the factory. There was no hassle, they said they could "probably" fix it and "probably" make a good seal again but, as it was a new car, they'd replace it. It took another 3 months to do that, but that was down to finding a date when I could take the car in and they had a loan for me. There was no rush after all.

All in all, I'm impressed with the dealer.

Made a long journey to see a second hand Octavia estate. Rusty tailgate wasn't mentioned and didn't seem too important to them when I pointed it out. Will avoid.

Just had my waterpump, cambelt, coolant pump replaced for a good price of £293.

They also looked at my aircon and recommend another couple things (not pushy at all).

Seemed like a nice bunch of guys down there and will be taking it back for a service in a few thousand miles. (Even if it is a 30 mile round trip!).

Overall recommend!

They are no longer a Skoda dealer - drove past today and the signs were being taken down etc.

Big signs on the A30 at Indian Queens saying Carrs Skoda coming soon....
