Don't touch these guys with a barge pole- seriously!

Booked the car in for a few small warranty issues and a service back in April.

Firstly, they told us to come back and pick the car up at 4.40pm. It wasn't ready until 5.30pm. No apology. While we were waiting, I was watching the mechanics from the viewing station and they were basically standing around chatting with cups of tea. The car was just sat there with the bonnet up with no one near it. Not happy.

The tape player and CD changer are goosed, so they said they'd order in a new one. They were going to let us know when they'd arrived (2-5 working days they said). We have waited... and waited. I called them in July and they claimed to have no record of the service or warranty job card! I said I wanted them to sort it for me asap, so the guy said he'd phone back later that afternoon. 2 days later and he still hadn't called. Phoned Skoda UK to complain. They have found it difficult to speak to the guy concerned as he's never around when they call. When they did catch up with him, he said he couldn't find any info relating to the case! He said it wasn't on the computer and he couldn't locate the job card.

They advised me to go somewhere else and have apologised- I said I want an apology from Motor Services themselves and have sent Skoda UK a copy of the service sheet.

The brakes on the vRS are embarassingly squeeky- I was told 'They're just like that.'

Nothing came up on Vagcom, so they couldn't do anything for the lack of power. They also couldn't hear the two terrible and very annoying rattles the car has. As soon as we got in the car to drive home, the rattles were as loud as ever. If I was on my own I would have insisted that I go for a drive with them, so I could point the probs out. Unfortunately, it was waaaaay past my 9 month old son's teatime (because thy'd kept us waiting so long), so we just wanted to get home.

Their service and customer care is an absolute joke. Can't believe they are a franchised dealer/repairer- they clearly don't give a damn about their customers.
