Oh dear! Arlene from Strictly Come Dancing would have some ripe things to say!!
Just bought Octavia - key fob battery died - this dealer charged me - Sorry to say I have a long memory - will probably use another dealer for Parts & Service.

Formerly Williams Skoda - I have experienced poor customer service there of late as has the father-in-law with parts for his new Roomster

re: Streets Skoda - Bristol - NO LONGER A SKODA DEALER

Street skoda are ******* ****! I was supposed to buy my Vrs from them, they said they had a black one coming in on the sat, i said right il have it, hold it for me. The guy (tall pretty boy with a stupid bit of fluff on his chin) Said i had 1st refusal on it.
Anyway got there on sat and he was like, o sorry mate iv just sold it, if only you were 10mins earlier.........c*nt!
I no why they did it, its because he ballsed up the amount i would be paying on the monthly payments so to save his own scrawny neck he said it had been sold!

re: Streets Skoda - Bristol - NO LONGER A SKODA DEALER

I used Streets to replace my CD changer under warranty (+ change brake pads). They said it would take 2-4 days to arrive. They didn't phone back at all. I phoned them after a month and they said they had it ready and had sent me a letter to say so... nice excuse! Booked the car in to get it fitted. Drove all the way there, had to take the Corrado and my wife & son too. Dropped car off- 'we'll call you when it's ready, Sir,'

Got to lunchtime, still no call, so we drove back, to see the car cleaned and ready to go in the car park. Why no call? We could have been left waiting all day- good job we went back. Anyway, got there and turns out they'd ordered the wrong changer! How difficult can it be? So, we had to make the journey yet again a couple of weeks later.

Rubbish service all round (at least they cleaned the car though!).

re: Streets Skoda - Bristol - NO LONGER A SKODA DEALER

I went in several weeks ago to look at the Fabia and asked for a test drive. They took my details and promised someone would call me, but they never did. Bought my Fabia from Clist and Rattle instead, who were very helpful. I don't think I would go back to Streets after this experience.

re: Streets Skoda - Bristol - NO LONGER A SKODA DEALER

They had my new Vrs Octavia from 8.30am to 5pm to change do a oil change and filter, I never received a phone call from them to say it was ready. I had to ring them to ask where my car was and they said it was ready, surprise. Then when I arrived at Streets my car had a puncture not the first time I might say, they never even gave me the courtesy of repairing it when they have had the vehicle all day, they they charged me what I think was an extortionate price for a gallon of oil and filter. I am very reluctant to take my car back them for anything. When my car developed a problem with sensors they had my car back twice and the second time the vehicle got another puncture which cost me a new tyre and they had locked my car with the engine running when cleaning the vehicle, good job I had the spare keys with me.

re: Streets Skoda - Bristol - NO LONGER A SKODA DEALER

I ordered a new armrest cover for my Octavia which was meant to be a Grey fabric one. 3 weeks later a black leather one turns up. when i say this is wrong, they tell me I'll have to wait roughly 7-8 weeks and stump up money up front. no thanks, you don't fill me with confidence that you'll get it right this time. i would avoid streets Skoda in the future.

Brilliant.

Excellent service from both Lee the Boss and Jon the salesman.

I am now the owner of a new Vrs Estate.

Keep up the good work.

re: Streets Skoda - Bristol - NO LONGER A SKODA DEALER

I have experienced appalling customer service at Streets Skoda Bristol recently while trying to get my Furby VRS repaired under warranty.

From the moment I agreed to purchase the vehicle I have variously;

1. Been threatened with a charge for use of a courtesy car, alongside being misinformed about a variety of matters relating to this.
2. Had warranty repairs fail to be completed correctly.
3. Have been called a liar over the phone by the service desk ******.
4. Have had a letter of complaint ignored and handed to the service rep (******) on the front desk instead of being referred appropriately.
5. Have been forced to travel 90 minutes to Bristol to action the warranty repairs.
6. Was not contacted at all while repairs were being made .. etc etc etc ...

I have never had such a poor service from anyone, I am now writing another letter of complaint copying it to Skoda UK and Skoda Warranty Services, which I am hoping will elicit a better response. The next step is to go to the local press and Trading Standards and see whether negative publicity etc will make any difference ... I am not holding out much hope ...

It seems the primary issues are a lack of staff training (******), an absence of communication with customers, lack of attention to detail in completing repairs and a more general systemic lack of care with dealing with customers ... totally unacceptable from a VAG firm ...

So Streets Skoda if any of you are reading this firstly because I WILL win, because I will never stop until I do ...

re: Streets Skoda - Bristol - NO LONGER A SKODA DEALER

We went to streets when we were deciding which model Roomster to buy. TBH we knew what we wanted so to balls up the sale was going to be quite difficult, but they managed it.

We had their demonstrator for 24 hours to make sure that the car worked for our family. We loved it and wanted to buy that very car which we were told would be available for sale in June ( this was the end of April). It was a Scout with the maxidot, panoramic roof and some other extras. the only concern we had was that we wanted an airbag deactivation switch as we have young children who enjoy seat hopping. They advised us that a switch could not be fitted but they could deactivate it permanently. This was not what we wanted but we had 3 sales staff pressuring us that it would be ok. It was really paramount to bullying. We stood our ground and said no we would order a new Roomster with the factory fitted deactivation switch.

We sat down to go through the order and the final price Lee gave us was £1500 higher than we had worked it out. He sighed alot but kept saying it was his best price. We were not just sat with him there was another member of the sales team sat with us, just to add a bit more pressure.

Anyway we left. No purchases, We will not be pressured. Anyway Lee then called me at home that evening to say if I bought today then he could reduce a further £1000 off the price. Apparently he had forgotten about the £1000 off the Roomster deal that was on at the moment?????????

We bought a Scout with lots of extras from another dealer. The service was relaxed and helpful ( even let me wander around the carpark for 20 minutes to make my mind up on paint colour), and it cost £2000 less than Street for the same car with lots more extras added on.

We wanted sill protectors added and Streets wanted to charge us £20 just to fit them after we had spent over £14000 on a car? Not good customer service. We were excited to be buying a brand new car. We have been saving and had the money, it was supposed to be an enjoyable experience. Streets were not concerned about us - they just wanted the sale.

If my car broke down outside their garage I wouldn't enter their domain. I would pull my car back to Cinderford with my teeth rather than give them any of my hard earned money.

re: Streets Skoda - Bristol - NO LONGER A SKODA DEALER

I was delivering Renault spares to a nearby dealers, and thought I'd kill 2 birds with one stone and nip in to pick up a new indicator - not rocket science, typical spare any dealer should hold in stock.

After waiting 20 mins for a parts department erk to appear, a Salesman wanders in and demands I move my van (large, signwritten Renault Master ) as it was in the Customers Parking.

I said "I was a f***ing customer until 10 seconds ago" and walked out - then spent another 15 minutes pretending to be on the mobile, checked the load, kicked the tyres etc. etc.

The Devil will be building snowmen before I go in there again

re: Streets Skoda - Bristol - NO LONGER A SKODA DEALER

They have now closed. Good riddance to them. When the new owners eventually move in, please give them the courtesy of giving them a chance. The reason for closure is poor leadership and I think that this gentleman will never own a dealership again after ballsing a skoda uk franchise up so willingly and ably.

I feel sorry for the staff there, they have had a rough time of it.

Farewell streets, it was %$^" knowing you.
