All in all a good prefessional dealer. Last edited by DGW; 16-10-2005 at 17:53. Reason: To correct formatting error following copying. No amendments have been made to the comment. |

Best bit of the service though was the 10% discount they are giving all Briskoda members ! |

| Originally posted by waynef - Sun Feb 29, 2004 Although I gave Autosales an 8 out of 10 during the pre-sales phase, I have to say that this is looking a little under threat at the moment. For the past few months, we have been in constant contact with the dealer, calling them, to ensure all was going well and my order was on track. We had spent time outlining our Black Fabia vRS and options, only to find with 1 week to go, that the salesman had took it upon himself to remove one or two options (ESP and side-airbags), just in case I decided not to buy! To say that we were a little miffed is an understatement. It partly does not matter because the car eventually turned up in Yellow, because of a mix-up at Skoda UK, and there is no chance that we wanted that colour, so it got Autosales off the hook. We really would have liked to be told these facts by the dealer, and their thought process. We had been talking to them every 5-7 days and there was not a hint of this until there was a week to go. Their salesman did come clean and apologise time and time again, so we have to think the better of them. He has promised to change a car on his books for an early April delivery to my exact option list, and also said that if the delivery overruns, then he would lend us a car until our arrives. I said earlier that my 8 points looked under threat. It is more like 8.5 points now! ![]() |

| Due to me working in Walsall and being in need of a service, I used the review section on here and selected Autosales in Bilston. Car was booked in when I wanted it and a loan car (sans petrol) was provided, along with a £9.50 charge for collision damage waiver. Reception was good and the guy behind the desk was helpful and efficient. I added 2 items to the list of work to be done (80k service with cambelt change). The 2 items were adjust the headlamps and rotate the wheels. Got back at 16:30 to collect it. All nicely cleaned and washed. They gave me the worksheet and a print of the fault codes from the 1550 (or whatever it is these days). I then paid the £575.02 for the service and went on my way , happy with the service. ![]() So, why only a 6? Well, I was tempted with a 4 or a 5 but, being a nice guy I'm being very charitable...... Remember the wheel rotation I requested? Well, when I went to fill up with fuel, I noticed that the rear tyre still had loads of tread I then checked the front, nope its got 3mm. Ah well they didn't rotate them. I phoned them up and they said they'd do it if I dropped in sometime next week from Tuesdsay onwards. Ah well, I can always take time off work (self employed, paid by the hour) to do that.......So I guess I shall be going out in the rain tonight to do some wheel rotation, seeing as I have a 350 mile drive ahead of me tomorrow morning ![]() Wouldn't normally be to bothered by it, but for the best part of £600........

| Re: Autosales Ltd - Bilston Got to big up AutoSales Bilston again... I've been experiencing intermittent gear selection problems for a while. I had notified the dealer and after they changed the clutch and flywheel under warranty the problem did seem to be improved. That was until 3 weeks ago when i came to shift into 2nd for an island and couldnt get any gear apart from 3rd! I called AutoSales and spoke to the service manager there who agreed to speak to customer services to determine whether Skoda UK would cover the cost of invesigative work to determine the fault. They agreed so the car was booked in. 2 weeks later and after changing the thrush bearing for 1st and 5th along with other bits n bobs and the car is perfect. Baring in mind this last episode was sorted out of warranty (it ran out in June) and with phone calls to keep me updated i cant thank AutoSales enough. They even washed and vac'd the car before giving it me back ! 5 Stars !!!

| Re: Autosales Ltd - Bilston Can't praise this dealer highly enough. Having been let down by my local (SE England) dealer over my order for a vRS SE, I found one for sale here. The deal was agreed over the phone and I advised my insurer who promised to send the insurance certificate to them direct. When I was about to leave Kent the next week to drive up and collect the car, the salesman rang to say the insurance still hadn't arrived. The dealer offered to drive into central Birmingham and collect the paperwork from the insurer on my behalf so that it was taxed and all ready to collect later that afternoon. I've even had a follow up courtesy call from the salesman after 2 weeks to check I'm happy with the car. 10 out of 10. Wish my local dealer was this efficient and helpful... |

| Briskodian | This garage is pathetic. Ordered a brand new fabia 3 on launch night was told to expect to wait up to 12 weeks. After 6 weeks still had'nt heard anything so rang to find that car had been delivered and nobody bothered to ring. After a week noticed a severe pulling to the left whilest driving so returned it to the garage to the usual unhelpfulness of one of the service assisstants(who will remain nameless) returned back to me still with the same problem. Returned the car again to autosales and gave them 2 weeks as I was on holiday. After a few disgruntled phone calls car was returned the day I came back from holiday and returned the next day with the same problem. FINALLY FIXED apart from damage done to one of the alloys which was blamed on me but was done whilst in the garages care. Therefore I will never use this garage for sales, service or parts again. |

| Re: Autosales Ltd - Bilston Went in last year in search of a used Octy Estate. Salesman took all my details but I received no response. All Electric had one in stock & I purchased no problem (except missing jack). Even transported the car to their Halesowen Branch so I could collect nearer home. First service last week. No courtesy car offered - but one was not required. Car went in clean, so I don't know if it would have been cleaned. Roger on reception, very friendly & helpful. Telephoned when car was ready. Computer was "down" so no detailed bill was available, still await the bill in the post. Slightly more than quoted due to brake fluid change. I would use again for servicing, but they could improve their reputation by offering onward transport of driver to work/home. |

| Re: Autosales Ltd - Bilston I used the service department this week, my car had damage to the suspension , they diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and repaired the car with the minimum of time and fuss, keeping me informed throughout. What a difference from ther sister dealer in cannock. Can highly recommend autosales Bilston. |
