The sales team here are very helpful and friendly .

Shame I can't say the same for the Service manager , who refused to change my coilpacks . He then showed me to the Fabia vRS that I had arranged a test drive in whilst my car was being serviced , unlocked the door , switched on the ignition and said there was plenty of fuel in it , well I got about a mile down the road and the fuel warning light came on ! , saying I could drive 70 miles , but within 20 minutes of enthusiastic driving it was then telling me I could only do another 10 miles , so I returned to the garage , my car still waiting outside to be serviced .

About an hour later my car was ready , and so was the bill £149 for a 10K service of which £101.96 + vat for the labour . The oil , oil filter, sump washer and rocker cover gasket came to £24.85 + vat .

Luckily I have 2 other Skoda dealers within 1/2 hour drive from me , so I will be going to one of them the next time .

Shame , because the sales team are OK .

I brought my Octavia VRS from them and my girlfriend brought a second hand car from them, and they were fantastic.

We have had some dealings with the service department with regards to warranty claims on my girlfriend car and they seem to have sorted out the problems very quickly

I would be interested in Mellowyellows alternative dealers as I too would say the same about Brooklyn Alcester - great Sales but Service dept leaves a lot to be desired - on my first service only 1 out of a list of half a dozen relatively minor issues were addressed - the sales manager did not impress me with his reasons why the other items weren't done.

I have used these for some 3 years now. The problem I have found is that if a problem arises 9 times out of ten you take it to them then have to return several times before the fault is fixed.

They never stock parts, and when they say the part is on order you have to chase them to see if the part is in.

bought my Octy Rs from them - same sentiments as everyone else, The only upside was that as they are a bit disorganised in the service dept I got my service done and they forgot to charge for the new break fluid and wiper blades, so I saved a packet.

Won't be going back though except to buy another one.

My wife bought her Fabia vRS from Brooklyn Skoda. From the minute we ambled in looking for a test drive to the moment we finally drove off in our newly acquired car we experienced one of our most pleasant car-buying experiences ever. The dealership does come across as a little disorganised but in a friendly way rather than an unprofessional one. In fact, we would heartily recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a Skoda, and Tim, in particular, as a salesman to do business with. Can't comment on the aftersales experience as we are yet to try that.

To summarise. if you like dealing with a smaller, friendly dealership, Brooklyn Skoda is a good place to try.

Bought my Octy vRS from here in February 2004, second hand. Ian the salesman recognised me from 16 years previously, at first school lol! That put me in a happy mood straight away.

The buying process was excellent... All the sales people I spoke to were very friendly and happy to answer any questions I had... When I mentioned I was looking at a Seat Leon Cupra, one said "buy the Skoda, just for the look on people's faces when you overtake them!"

Since buying the car, all of my warranty issues have been dealt with relatively quickly, as part of the 40k service, which itself was carried out well, including sorting me out with a courtesy car.

Whilst I was picking the car up from the service, I mentioned to Ian that I'd like to try out a Fabia vRS for comparison purposes - he sorted out a full test drive two days later (a Saturday, too), no problems at all.

I can only give praise to Brooklyn Skoda - they have been very good to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

Bought my fabia from here last year but it wasnt the best car buying experience I'v experienced. On the delivery day I was kept waiting for 3 hours as the car wasnt ready although I ordered it 10 weeks in advance. The salesman ( Not Ian who is a great bloke) rushed through the handover and made a sarcastic comment as I had complained to the sales manager about the delay. To top it all, as I drove off the forecourt the fuel warning light came on ! Also I never received my free service vouchers as agreed when placing the order and had to argue with the service Dept that my 1st 2 services are free. Sorry Brooklyn but my next £10k will be going to another dealer.

Twice now I have used them, second time was March when I got my new vRS, have got a decent relationship with one of the sales team, so when I need any work doing it all goes through him first so the service side works fine

The only problem for me is living in Birmingham the only other option I have as far as I know is All Electric, who I wouldn't touch with a very large stick {personal opinion} however I do find All Electric useful to obtain a price, look at the cars and then go to Brooklyn ;-)

Anyone used this dealer for servicing recently?

Our company is moving to Redditch so they will be nice and convenient and I'm not keen on giving All Electric any more of my money

And the answer to that is , I have.

Had the first service done there last Friday and was happy enough.
They were nice and polite , quoted me a decent price in advance and then stuck to it , and no faffing about having to get their courtesy car covered on my own insurance which was very good.

I can't find any problems with the work that they have done and the car was clean and tidy when I picked it up.

I shall be using them in future.

Only downside was that they couldn't hear the creaking suspension , but wanted to arrange a time for me to take it back and show their tech which was good service.

Used them when they were in Alcester and they were great, used them once just after they moved to the Redditch site - never again.

Booked car in for service, was told I was be phoned on the Friday pm once car was completed - I phoned up on Saturday to find out what was going on, and was told we'll tell you when you come to collect - no tell me on the phone, I want to know if I can drive the car away or not - given that my wife gives me a lift over and its a 50 mile round trip.

Anyway collected the car - needed some work, so they were going to order the parts and contact me when they were in - told would be late the following week. Several weeks later I phoned them and parts were in stores - so booked the car in for the work. Fast forward - I again had to phone them to found out whether my car was ready (again on Saturday morning) - went to collect the car and was told everything had been fixed. But it hadn't, I could still see the old parts were still on the car - complained and was told to phone up on Monday.

Wrote to the Manager, explaining the situation - he wrote back to tell me their senior tech was on holiday, but on his return they would send him over to my house with the parts and fit them, so as not to inconvence me again. That never happened.

I've emailled them with reference to a CAM belt change - and got a reply to say that they were forwarding my email to the service department - that was about 6 months ago, and have heard nothing.

Needless to say I don't use them anymore - found a good independant VAG speicalist.

Rant over

Just collected a blue VRS Fabia from Brooklyn Skoda Redditch and once again I have got fabulous service from Ian on the Sales team. I do 30K private mileage a year and I have a Octavia (105hp) DSG as well as the Fabia which me and the misses use. Felt I got a good deal and will continue to come back to Brooklyns each year or so. The issue is the servicing. I know several Skoda owners in Worcester and I am tempted to use Startin just outside Worcester for the servicing rather than Brooklyns in Redditch. Shame Fabia is not on variable servicing like the Octavia as was my company A3 which used the same engine. Any owners have news on any ways to reduce Fabia servicing costs ie good contract deals or whatever?

Collected my 04 Silver Fabia vRS from here yesterday, and just wanted to say what a pleasure it was dealing with the Salesman Ian. At no point did I feel pressured to buy the car, and he was very helpful and willing. Even after collection he stated that he may ring in a few days to ask how I'm getting on with the car to make sure I'm happy with my purchase. After shopping around at a few dealers in looking for my vRS, this experience at Brooklyn in Redditch was a refreshing and pleasant experience.

Brooklyn in Redditch are no longer Skoda dealers - all the signage has gone and it's Citroen only now.

I don't know if they are still doing service and warranty work , but they aren't listed on Skoda's site for new car sales any more.

Confirmed with them that they no longer have any connection with Skoda.
