| Bought my Fab vRS from them ... from Ian too (maybe he's returned to Rugby unless it's a different one). Good price for the deal. No real problems with them ... except supplying the car in the middle of the (very short-lived) fuel crisis with no diesel in it at all. Oh, and the rear number plate is not straight which is just annoying!

| Paid them a visit last week - sorted out my rear washer problem in seconds and booked me in for a warranty job on the rear doors ---no hassle --just good old fashioned humour and service. Another nice thing ---servicing costs - lowest i've seen -and a main dealer too Day after - got car back - doors done ( i hope ) - all things in rear moved - so looks like a job done with attention to prevention of damage - talked to some of their staff afterwards - no leaks admitted, but, but - still - on basis of my two visits and their pricing for servicing - and help - they've got another customer.--till i find a place that does an oil change a lot cheaper - ATS are advertising it at about£45 , less than the stealers and half that of Nationwide or Halfrauds .Nationwide locally get good AA reports - Halfrauds - only if i'm very, very very desperate.(and find an AA man gadvising me that they're ok) Last edited by VWD; 13-04-2007 at 19:06. | Definately recommend Brooklyn Skoda Rugby. Had a problem fixed under warranty with no problems at all (levellers on Xenons) which two other main dealers had three attempts to fix between them and found nothing wrong. Will definately be using them for my maintenance and servicing in the future.

| Got my first Skoda (Fab vRS) in '05 from them, after Farmers failed to impress (they didn't know anything and didn't get back to me.) The sales experience at Brooklyn was excellent, I always felt they cared, and even knew a lot about the car! I went into Farmers again in May to look for a new Skoda, but again sales 'charisma' and product knowledge were not in attendance. So I'm back to Rugby, and very glad of it. 'My' sales guy returns my calls, has the information right away, and is willing to offer a little more. So I'm getting my next vRS there, and hopefully my next one after that. Service had some real shortcomings early on in 2005, but I know the problem was removed, and I know where it went. Since then service has been spot on, with a smile, and things get done when they're meant to. So I'm looking forward to my next car, and my next experience with this dealership. Andrew. PS. Thanks Gavin. |

| Hi - I will be a Skoda owner for the first time next Friday (4/1/08) when I pick up a 54 Reg Octavia 2 (ex-demo) Very friendly service from Ian, but then I was parting with £10k!!! Noone else seems to be reporting very much here, so I guess it falls to me - hopefully others will follow I hereby promise to be as unbiased as possible and submit a report on here every time I come into contact with Brooklyns Dave |

| Welcome to Briskoda ![]() Let us know how you get on, and especially let us know how they are with any niggles you have after buying the car. Will that still be under manufacturers warranty? I've used them a few times now, and so far still okay. They've sorted a few warranty issues for me with no problems.

| Well, as promised, here's what happened.... Received a phone call at 2pm to confirm that I was coming to collect my Octavia at 4pm as agreed just before Christmas Arrived at 4pm as arranged Poor Ian was obviously not well and had what looked like the start of a really bad cough and flu, but he still went to the petrol station next door and put £10 of diesel in the tank (12 months tax and an MOT included in the deal though) The girls on reception encouraged me to wind him up and ask him for a printed receipt from the brand new computer system that he was still trying to learn, but I gave him some sympathy and agreed to accept the receipt through the post The point is that this is a very friendly dealership and not in the least intimidating No complaints really, but a full tank of petrol would have been a much nicer touch I bought the carpet mats for £29.99 - the best equivalent alternative price I'd seen was £25+ delivery on Ebay, so no contest really Any downsides? ========== Well, it was wet outside, and I nearly slipped over on the polished tiled floor as I walked in (Yes - that really is the worst thing I can think of) Mind you, approx. 1 hour later, I did slip onto my rear when I walked into the local Tesco petrol station !!! Summary: ======= A friendly dealership with no airs or graces - exactly how it should be done!!! It was almost a pleasure to part with the cash and yes, I'd do it all again Oh - for the record... Skoda Octavia2 2.0 Diesel / 140bhp Elegance Spec / Ex Demonstrator 32k miles 54 Reg Bought for £10,335 (No trade-in - I'm keeping my 20 year old Audi Quattro for sentimental reasons!!!) |

| Just had my first experience and have to say it wasn't brilliant. I initially said I'd never go there again but I have to go back to remedy an issue (read on) and will see how that goes. Initial issue was on phoning up for service quotes. They didn't seem to know difference between variable and fixed, questioned ME as to why I wanted to know how much they charged for oil. As I said I may provide it myself or take the car elsewhere anyway. That question/threat bought cost of service down by £70 (comparable to others in area). I also had the 2nd year brake fluid flush done. On day of service the change from annual to variable was discussed, written on the job sheet and highlighted "as they'll forget if I don't" according to reception. On going back to collect they hadn't finished (I was early) so I watched through the door. Saw him put the wheels on and then I was hit by the x-threaded wheel bolt he'd just found (what, not noticed on removal??). Seems thats my liability and another eighty quid plus VAT for a new hub - not happy. Worst though, and leading to me questioning everything else (and having to drive 17 miles back there today) is they "forgot" to change it to variable on the cars computer - only noticed because I checked it when I got home. What else have they forgotton? I don't consider that a good start for a lasting relationship myself |

| I bought my Fabia from them in 2006, and yes, I found Ian very friendly and helpful. Mind you, they didn't put any fuel in the tank before I collected it, so I had to re-fuel on the way home. As for the repar/servicing side, it's not all been good. Sometimes I've taken it in with a specific problem - and told them about it beforehand - and it was not fixed. In one case I had to make a bit of a fuss, another time I got it fixed by the wee garage up the road from my work. Also, I sometimes think they try and fob you off.... So now I go to T&H's in Leamington (Independent VW group car specialist). |
