Cut a long story short we loved the Furby so much we bought it there and then. We spoke to Neil Jacques one of the salesmen there and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpfull. The only issues we had with this garage was the long waiting time but that wasn't down to them as demand for the car was high and production at the time was low. We ordered lots of extras for our car. Things like Side Airbags, Side airbag deactivation switch, ESP, cruise control, Xenon lights and black paint thus this was reflected in the price of £13,600. Had one issue with the car whereby the bolster material on the seats started to fray but I spoke to F R Pulleyn Ltd and they ordered the parts for both seats there and then and replaced them with no fuss whatso ever. Highly recommended if you are thinking about a Skoda. Last edited by DGW; 16-10-2005 at 17:54. Reason: To correct formatting error following copying. No amendments have been made to the comment. |

| Got very abrupt when I told them I could get a Fabia VRS cheaper elsewhere and wasnt prepared to negotiate.. Went to drivethedeal.com and bought one with lots of extras about £1500 cheaper. It was supplied through Simpsons of Colne who were very good. |

| My mother and Father went to this dealership after I have convinced them to change to Skoda. They were looking round the Octavia and Superb range, but even after standing at the desk, and obviously looking at new cars they were totally ignored. They went to this dealership as they live near Whitby and thought the would get better service! They have always bought new cars, and said they were ammazed at how they were (NOT) treated, so they walked out! In the end they went to Derick Slack Motors in Middlesbrough, and were looked after by Tony Slack, Who is now delivering them a new Diesel Octy. They were extreemly impressed with there dealership, just upset they wasted their time going to York! |

| Got to say they are the best dealership I have used so far. Not the largest dealer but I think that helps them give a more personal service. I had the emissions warning light come on on 11th March but by 16th they had diagnosed a faulty EGR valve. I drove to them for the diagnosis a little early but was seen straight away and was quoted an hour for the repair. Took car in yesterday and received very prompt and polite service from Judy Pulleyn. The car was repaired in one hour as promised. Car came back as clean as it went in, no scuffs, no scratches, no dents and no dirt. Also, got a receipt for the warranty work and that is the first time I have had one in a handful of warranty claims. I would definately recommend them to others as they were 100% with me. |

| My first visit to Pullyen's was a major disappointment, I booked my car in to have the headlights (xenon's) adjusted and they clearly didn't have a clue what they were doing, in the end they made a complete mess of the job leaving the light beam so high it was illuminating the tops of trees! I didn't give Pullyen's a chance to rectify the situation so I can't say weather they would have or not, I went to Slacks in Middlesbrough who reprogrammed the controller and all is now good. I gave Pullyen's a second chance (when I was desperate) and they made a very good job repairing my exhaust. I have since used them for parts every so often and one service - since my first encounter they have been very good with friendly staff so they have redeemed themselves! |

| I was at Pulleyn's last week. I was speaking to one of the salesmen Andrew Kemp. Very friendly and helpful. He was saying that they have only four Vrs limited editions left now. I have been looking and they seem to be the only dealer in the UK with some left. Very good dealership would certainly reccomend. |

| Originally thought FR pulleyns were ok, but not after todays performance. Rude on the phone (twice) and then told me an item that I'd claimed for wasn't covered under warranty even though it says nothing about it in the warranty book. Also, when they changed my heater flap motor, they managed to totally screw up my recirculation mode thing (back to front) and it took them 2 attempts to seal my N/S rear door. Very hit and miss.

| I would definitely recommend this garage. Bought my VRS SE from Pulleyn's just over a week ago, seemed like it was the only garage with an SE available and actually in the showroom at the time. Great service as well..... Wish it was closer so I could go back for servicing! 10/10 |

| I'm currently looking for a small diesel to use for going to and from work, I went into FR Pulleyn today and they could not have been better. The salesman (unfortionatly I didn't get his name) was very friendly, knew exactly what he was talking about and was not pushy in the slightest. I was offered test drives without any mention of 'working the figures out' and when I accepted a test drive in one car I was given a good 15-20 minute run. They didn't have exactly what I wanted, but I will be back hopefully when they do in the near future. 10 out of 10 |

| When it was F R Pulleyns I bought a new vRS from this dealership, went back to trade it in last month after change of ownership expecting the same courteous service. Very dissapointed. Not willing to negotiate, got a rather rude 'take it or leave it' attitude from salesman. Not the attitude I would have expected from a new dealership. ![]() Went back again this year (2008) and rude salesman has left. ... got a cracking deal on a silver vRS from Alan Sutton ...all is forgiven. ! | I bought a used Roomster last week from Martyn Beever and I was very impressed by the service and trade-in price I received. Admittedly there wasn't much selling to do as I had already decided I wanted a cheap diesel car with plenty of room but Alan Sutton was very helpful and gave me a cracking trade-in price for my 53 reg Octavia vRS. Thanks very much |

| Went in end of Feb to buy a Diesel Octy, to replace a very old Nissan Sunny. Was served by Alan Sutton and was quick to offer a test drive. They didn't have any 2.0 TDI Octys in, only a the 4x4 variant, so test drove that, fell in love with it, and now the owner of that same car. Got a good price on it, as I walked in with a paper full of figures, and was given a £2000 discount straight away, and worked out it had about £2000 of extras on it (being ex-demo, had metallic paint, parking sensors, and upgraded alloys, with full size matching alloy spare wheel!). I've since been back for a few warranty related matters - switch on gearbox to trigger reverse lights and sensors was dodgy, and throttle pedal was throwing faults, both of which were replaced promptly. On both occasions, went in for a diagnosis, parts were ordered, and car returned at a later date for fitting. Fitting took less than a few hours, and they offered a lift to home/work or into York city while I waited. Of course, I was picked up to collect the car as well! Overall, excellent service and highly recommended, very friendly staff, especially David Smith in servicing. |

| Went in last Saturday to look at a used Octavia. They don't have their own web-site, but they post their stock list on allapprovedcars.com, and Paul Baker followed up on an email I sent them enquiring about the car. I had a test drive, liked it, and put down a deposit. Paul's only been there a few weeks (he says), but he's been selling VW for 20 years, and has been a friend of Martyn's for a long time. Of course this may all be salesman's patter, but he seems genuine and is amiable and chatty - not brisk and pushy like some salesmen can be. I went mob-handed with the wife and kids, but they had a pleasant seating area with plenty of reading material (not just Skoda brochures) and a TV to watch while I was out on the test drive. Martyn Beever himself wasn't hidden away in a back room - he was front of house, chatting with customers, making sure everyone was supplied with tea and coffee. As Pulleyn's this dealership was run as a friendly family business, and as Martyn Beever they've tried to continue that approach. Of course I've only experienced the sales side so far, and dealers are always friendly when they want you to buy something - time will tell what the Service department is like - but on the evidence so far, I would recommend them. | I took my Fabia to them to diagnose a intermittent squeak which was annoying but not effecting the ride of the car. Left it with them in the morning explaining that the squeek was worrying my wife who uses the fabia to transport the new born about. After leaving them the fabia i received a call diagnosing the problem as the brake discs and was offered advice that the problem wouldn't effect the safety of the car and is just anoying. The even said that they wouldn't bother replacing the brake discs if they were in my position. The cost for diagnosing this issue - free! (I didn't even buy the car from them) And they cleaned it inside and out before returning it. I'l be taking the car again when it's due it's serice. Very impresed Nask |

| Have been in before for little parts and they've been very good! Just been up there now looking at a Fabia vRS they've got for sale... It's a bit battered though and i think the price of nearly 8k is a bit much... what car reckons £7,000! Phil |
