Lauren and Klement

I have recently bought an Octavia Lauren and Klement.
Can anyone tell me what L&K stands for. Any info would be great.

They were the original co-founders before they approached skoda for support after they lost their factory in a fire.

Thats a good link... i knew that they started off making cycles and that they were bought out and became skoda.

Didn't know that Skoda means "damage". lol

That website is badly written, they spelt Laurin as Lauren and used the name Skoda before they say they were bought by Skoda Works?

It looks like they need a proof reader for gods sakes!

Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement founded Slavia bicycles and motorcycles, later badged L&K, then in 1905 made their first car, the Voiturette Type A.In the 20's they merged with the Skoda works and all cars built until 1930 wore Skoda and Laurin & Klement badges.From 1930 all wore Skoda badges.
The next car to weara n L&K badge was the Felicia back in 1995/6, then the octavia from 2000 onwards and Superb a few years later.
I had a novel idea 17 years ago when my daughter was born - name her Estelle after a Skoda, so I did just that.Now I have 2 boys also, one is called Laurin, the other is called Klement. (Yes, I do have a very understanding partner - she has drawn the line at me calling any future kids Roomster or Yeti though!)

My two boys are called Jack and Daniel - wonder where I got the idea for that from!

PS Are you the Skorob that sells model Skodas on Ebay?

laurin and klement versions of the cars are special.

Well at least for the felicia they were, They only made 200.
100 estates - 1 is mine. 1.6 VW
100 hatch's - 2 others on here. 1.3 skoda

But they all had full leather trim, proper all leather. Apart from carpet and roof its leather.
thats right door cards, and seats, steering wheel, handbrake, gear stick, etc.
Sunroof
alarm, immobliser
central locking
electric mirrors, windows, heated mirrors.
heated seats
mettalic blue purple green paint job. - very nice.
14" BBS alloys and a spare
foglights
colour matched bumpers and mirrors
And many more things, but i can't remember.

these differences back in 1995/96 would have been a top of the range car! and it was uber rare.

Yes, thats me!

I used to sell the Abrex models, but the UK distributor stopped getting new stock so i packed it in as Abrex in CZ wanted too large an order for me to commit to.Im car_brochures_for_you now, just concentrating on car brochures and the odd Skoda related stuff.
