At the moment I don't know when it is due to re-open but the guys at work pass it everyday so I will find out eventually. I think that Blubeckers might be too much of a restaurant for a meet.

In that area though there are several alternatives

The Jeckyll and Hyde on the A33.
The New Inn New Inn, Hook, Hampshire, RG27 0LE - pub details # beerintheevening.com
The Shoulder of Mutton at Heckfield (Can't find details but used to be very good if a little busy)
The Cricketers in Turgis Green Cricketers, Turgis Green, Hampshire, RG27 0AH - pub details # beerintheevening.com

I'm open to suggestions (clean ones mostly ).

Must be due to have a meet soon so an ideal time to start checking them out - If we don't like we'll go somewhere else.

Next Week???

You pair.

Ok then Thursday the 19th @ the Cricketers in Turgis Green from 19:00.

Map below and also a link about the pub

Cricketers, Turgis Green, Hampshire, RG27 0AH - pub details # beerintheevening.com

PS. The poster of this meet has never been there but provided it sells food and beer how bad can it be.
PPS. And if it's really bad the Jeckyll and Hyde is only a short hop up the A33.

Had a meal in the J&H on the A33 and tbh I was pretty disappointed.

There is the south western arms and the Dolphin by St Denys station in southampton which IIRC are also on the Camera list. Since they are by a train station they could be suitable for the "heavier" meets i would guess.

Not the best choice of days as I'm normally 'working' *cough*, but I'll make the exception and bunk off!
