| Just hope she doesn't find out or you will be getting the "well you spent £X on your car" every time she goes into town and comes back with shoes/underwear/handbags/clothes. An ex of mine spent thousands on shoes ![]()

| I have had to enforce a shoes and handbag rule in this house. Simple really - One In = One Out

| Interesting little meet as when I turned up the Cricketers was shut. Spoke to as many as I could and we moved on to the Jeckyll and Hyde on the A33. The food was good and of course the company was good. Where we end up next month though is anybodies guess.

| Hedge what was the page in your first post - sadly no browser I've tried will open it as a web page - they all give html as text. Is the LB closed down permanently?

| North Hampshire CAMRA - Pub News I can open it using IE6 ok. It's a link from the CAMRA website and the relevant bit for us is the following "8/04/2007 - Leather Bottle, Mattingley - The Basingstoke Gazette this week confirmed that the Leather Bottle, Mattingley is currently closed and will reopen as a Blubeckers. - Reported by shs" Boo Hiss. However the Jeckyll was pretty good last night and there are one or two other places in the area that will serve us equally well in the future.

| That opens fine, thanks. I take it a Blubeckers is some horrid American diner style thing?

| I must confess I have only been once to the Eversley one. The food was ok but the service was poor and it is more restaurant than pub i.e. no bar.
