Not sure how much night time driving I will be able to do, my Xenons are adjusted FAR too low atm, will have the laptop & VAGCOM in case someone knows how to adjust them a tad on the night, will probably need to make my way back at 11ish at the very latest as got to get up for APS visit at about 730

Don't Xenons have the dashboard adjustment wheel? Or are yours at the limit?

Nope it's fully automatic, it's got a sensor on the rear (underneath) the car

To adjust Xenons you put them in maintenance mode, then tweak the height, then take it out of maintenance mode (or equivalent), it will know the correct level then and auto-level from there

It's great once set up but particularly bad when it's not set up right

So if they are somehow set wrong, they automatically remain that way. Deflating the rear tyres is not an option then.

Anyway, it shouldn't matter this evening. It's the Friends of the Earth Bristol Blackout day. We should be driving round without any lights.

- but don't forget we might be causing our own blackouts with the soot from Jason's + mine (if I end up having to fill up at BP again )

It might be worth driving through the 'gorge' on a pre-progress-making roundtrip to get shot of rocks though, I still havent got my sump guard back on and I don't want to be the next 'Si' and have to get another engine

I've printed off the correction guide, will bring the lappy & VAGCOM, in case someone wants their car scanned for faults etc.

Cable is in my car permanently anyway

I carry it round with me anyway - With the amount of faults my car has, I need it.

- guess why I've got it

I've got a 12V to mains converter now so when the laptop dies within minutes on it's battery, I can keep it going

Leaving now to try and avoid some of the very worst traffic, might already be pushing my luck

Hmm. One of the best steak pies I've had in ages! I hope you had a good spin round the Gorge after I left.

Hi Mike, just got back (it is a bit of a trek )

Was nice meeting you, Jason & E-E this evening, food was good too

I followed Jason in my car giving E-E a lift, didn't go that fast due to my low lights and Jason's car was heavily loaded for the weekend stuff he's getting up to

Had a little drive in E-Es car after returning and decided that brake upgrade of some sort would be good on her car

Not sure when I can next make a meet due to trip to South Africa being imminent now, but that pub is worth keeping on our shortlist

My brake are there, you just have to find them... It is something I will think about doing at some point.

Nice to see you everyone last night. Princess LOVED her gammon!

Managed to roll home without putting any more fuel in on the basis that it looked too cold outside.

The gauge did lift itself above the red after the little run up/down the road, but it can't have had that much left when you got home I'd imagine

Brakes on yours are working, I just couldn't remember how different they felt after all this time

One day I will follow the satnav instructions a little better, still getting used to it at the moment.

Car's at APS now to get a bunch of stuff checked & sorted, including headlight adjustment hopefully, coz I couldnt see a darn thing
