Hi, price for timing belt, tensioner, waterpump, roller, coolant.Pk belt is £254.47 + vat.
If the hydraulic tensioner is damp or leaking this will cost £51.06 + vat.

My new Octy is due it's annual 10k service round about April next year (has been pretty much every April since new) but will not be 4 years old until Sep07.

Would it be better for me to get the Cambelt/Water pump done at the same time as the 40K service or would it be better to get them done independently?

i.e. will I effectively end up paying twice for some things to be changed or are they completely independent of each other?

Cheers,
Steven.

You are not paying for something twice if the jobs are done @ different times. We recommend a belt change @ 60K or 6 years but Skoda now recommend the belt @ 4 years. It's your choice but we have seen the waterpumps fail @ 31,000 miles car was 4 years old.
