Default Fabia vRS Suspension Mods

Just got myself a vRS and think that the straight line performance is perfectly OK. Where it does fall down a bit is going round corners as, especially compared to my Cooper, it rolls and pitches on undulating roads.

What would you recommend as an affordable upgrade bearing in mind 2 factors : my budget would be a few hundreds of pounds - not thousands - and I'd like to keep my Skoda warranty in place. Telfords Carlisle have verbally given me the OK to upgrade the suspension but you'll probably know better as to what I can get away with...?

Thanks

A set of Eibach springs would suit you a treat.

Ta much for the advice :-)

What sort of price would I be looking at ? Presume they're lowering springs so how low have you dropped ?

You can also change the dampers if you want more control.

You can run just Eibach springs on OEM dampers, but if you're considering changing the dampers, it's worth doing at the same time to save some labour costs

I have the Eibach springs with Koni adjustable dampers, and I trust that configuration as it was already fitted when I bought my fabia and was fitted by someone who knows his stuff and incidentally, has posted above

Thanks for all your help - the suspension mods will come after I've recovered from the financial pain of adding cruise control in the next couple of weeks...

I think I had eibach pro-kit dampers & springs for around £350 in all (bought separately though) and matey who got me the dampers even put the springs on for me. Just got Jabba to fit them then, which wasn't too bad. Fronts are a pain in the a55 though to remove/refit.

That looks like decent enuff price I have a local garage that I trust enuff to do that sort of work as there aren't any local VAW specialists around here..

Not if you have a clue and use the correct tooling.
