| Are these port remaps or done by breaking into the ECU?
I'm based up your way so will probably pop in to arrange some work to be done.

Car: Silver Fabia (230bhp 330lbft) | The P in DPT actually stands for Performance. The fabia remap is performed through the serial port meaning no mucking about with the ecu box. There are two options available either a straightforward DPT remap or a DPT Dual System remap which allows the car to have the facility of switching between two maps - usually standard and modified.

how does it switch? does it load your current ECU onto the unit like one click?

Car: Silver Fabia (230bhp 330lbft) | Yes your ACTUAL original ECU map is stored on the unit along with a modified one allowing you to switch between the two.

Car: Red Fabia (130BHP / 228lbs/ft) | As a the owner of a new Fabia vRS, I would be very interested in going down the route of the "switchable" maps once the car is fully run in.
Could you please advise on how the switching is actually carried out between say, standard map and the upgraded map.
Do you install a separate "hidden" switch or make use of existing controls, e.g. cruise control switch or other?

Once you have chosen the file you want to download, the process takes less than 2mins to complete. When finished you remove the dual system till next time.
