Default Query on 2.0 Petrol

Hi all,

Just out of curiosity, I currently drive a 2.0 115bhp 2003 Octavia Ambiente. What kind of bhp would I be getting from a remap?

Cheers

You'd get about a further 8bhp from the engine - there would probably drive better though. Probably not worth it for the money.

If you are interested in tuning, look at things which are available for the Golf GTI 2.0 - they should fit the Octy too...

Rob.

BUt it'll sound really harsh being pushed about.
And you;ll have to stir the gearbox like a bowl of porridge.
And the already disappointing fuel consumption will drop further still.......

Like Rob says, why bother?
Catch any number of cars with sporting pretenses on an off moment, and you can embarrass them up till 40mph, so there isn't really any point.
For reference on the 2.0 speed capabilities - I've held off a BMW 323i, riding up my jacksie but unable to get past till well over thw rong side of the NSL.............
