| Been reading up a bit on what i can use as a decent swirl remover/filler. Normal choice seems to be SRP, however it seems a few over DW are getting decent results with Poorboys Black Hole. Poorboys Black Hole Glaze - Poorboys Car Care and Detailing Products Any thoughts on this ? I thought about maybe trying SSR1, then this on top as a filler ? |

| Hi m8, SSR 1 and all other ssr group members are designed for machine use mainly. I think that you will heavily struggle to break them down properly by hand on the whole car. Tons of elbow grease will be needed ![]() If you need to do a very small area then it should be fine. Anyway you can't go wrong if you stick with SRP. It's really good stuff by hand. Haven't tried black hole so no comment but imho it can't be that much better than srp. Cheers Igor |

| They can be used by hand, it just says better results can be had by machine, pretty obvious really. I'm only going to be doing one or two panels a night, so i'm not fussy about having to work at it. Black hole is worth a shot though wouldn't you think ? |

| Klasse All In One (AIO) Excellent on silver and looked great on a certain grey panda 100 Doesn't stain trim either.

| Always needs a first, but bearing in mind the grey in question was a dark one I'd say it would be pretty damn good.

| You're welcome. The Klasse (carlack is IIRC the same) is a cleaner, polish and sealant so all you would need to do would be: - Wash - Clay (if needed) - Klasse - Couple of layers of 476s or whatever wax you fancy.

| i read up on the blackhole stuff you were talking about, it seems to be more of a temporary fix, where its good for use before shows or the like but wont be a lasting fix. i'll let you know how i get on with the SSR1, should be arriving tomorrow ![]()

| Good thread on hand swirl removing here: ** Swirl Removal By Hand - Test ** - Detailing World Clearkote Red moose glaze is quite a good filler, takes a bit of work though. Clearkote Red Moose Machine Glaze Prima Amigo much easier to work with and still good results. Products - Serious Performance

| Aye, Daves thread is good, and obviously he reccomends SRP has acheived best results by hand. Waller, any ideas when you and Andy are free ? As he offered to let me come across and use his PC. Beginning to wonder if i should just do that, then look at keeping on top if it from then on, rather than starting by hand. |

| If you can use a PC to fix it properly I would.

| Johnny50 - You really should buy a PC of some desription or even a cheap Rotary like a Silverline, spending money on products will surely add up to the cost of a machine?

| Didn't realise you could buy silverlines so cheap until i looked them up. Can i use normal pads on them as per PC etc ? Although rotarys can inflict a bit more damage can they not ? |
