Default Jewelultra

Any one had their car jewelultr, diamondbrite finished? I got mine done before i picked it up and have not regretted it since, always looks reasonable but a simple wash and it really gleams. However an after rinse is required with a "konserver" after washing then final hosing down. Sometiemes i cannot beleive the shine i get from a simple wash. However it was expensive to have applied but does give a 6 year guarantee on paintwork. Oh yea colour of fabia Burnt orange

IMO its not worth it and a rip off from the dealers. You can get the product on ebay for about £30. How can they justify 10X that!! Good wax and sealer works for me and I do the hose pipe thing too. My "konserver" is Meguiers NXT Car Wash. Its PH neutral and does not strip the wax

I never said but I got my fabia for only £2000 was on offer at cost plus 5% hence having jewel ultra applied at £200. I was very sceptical at first but well considering what I saved on the car quite pleased. However small scratches cannot be waxed out nor can swirl marks as the car should never be waxed. However I never need wax my car again (may have sold it before then anyway) and it is much easier to wash than my other car Renalt laguna non jewel ultra. Like I say always looks showroom finish after; washing perhaps that is the burnt orange colour tho. Anyone else had jewelultra applied?

You can buy the kits for £15 or so off eBAY, and apply the stuff yourself. Easy, and cheap.

I'd neve pay a dealer £X00 to do it.

I not ridiculing you at all. I am merely pointing out that IMO this protection coating is a rip off and can be bought much cheaper. Good luck with it but it will wear off after a while. What will you do then? Can it be topped up for more money? Ebay is a good place for it. PLEASE dont buy it from a dealer. I'm only trying to save you money!

The dealers charge so much because it's a time consuming job to apply.

The paintwork has to be 100% clean before it can be applied. I don't mean just a quick wash, it has to be prepped with paint cleaner & stripped of all wax. Then there is a primer & then the glaze.

I bought a kit off UK-MKIV's forum for £20. Took me a full day to apply to stuff. It did look amazing afterwards, but the shine does fade after 6 months or so.

I just clay bar & wax now-a-days.

I had the Jewelutra applied to my superb I washed it on Tuesday with Diamondbrite then put the conserver on it, it brings it up looking in showroom condition everytime. In my opinion it is well worth having done.
I bought some new wheels about 6 weeks ago, hopefully i have attached some pics successfully.

Not saying that Diamondbrite doesn't come up with the goods as far shine is concerned.
Just doesn't last as long it says it does..........and yes, I did use the conserver after washing.

Diamondbrite reccomend you wash and apply the conserver once a month, and it certainly last's that and more.
